Hey come on cheer up. Its the first week back at work after christmas and new year. Its always quiet for most businesses. People are peed off having to go back to work and it takes them a few weeks to get back into their stride. Also this cold weather won't be helping. Probably last thing on peoples minds at the moment is to get their carpets cleaned. It will pick up soon especially as the weather starts to warm up and we head towards spring.
This is why it is so important to get your pricing right so that you earn enough to see you over these quiet periods which you always get and always have. Too many not earning enough to weather the storm end up going out of business.

I'm moderately busy this week in terms of calls and quotes, doing a fair few quotes and got a couple of nice jobs booked in over the next week or so but nowhere near what I'd like to be doing....

I still have a pile of un-filed paperwork sitting there from before Xmas so I guess I can't be that short of things to do, paperwork always gets pushed to the back!

Just 4 jobs this week.Had a flood job today,where the settee was, the varnish from the legs had seeped into the carpet ,didn't have much joy in removing the stains though .Varnish i find is always a bugger at the best of times any suggestions guys ?

Very quiet this week...1 job only from a regular and 1 enquiry.
Rang one of my commercial jobs yesterday (£200) every Jan...and they've put having their carpets cleaned on hold due to present economic situation...news I could have done without !

First of the oven jobs was a right pain today, old rusty damaged oven.... Polishing a turd came to mind, I nearly packed up and told her it wasn't going to come clean. She was delighted with the end result Second job, 40 minutes and done... Then the fella's dad asked if I could do his carpets and oven.

My missus had 4 days in bed over the new year with a bad dose of MAN flu we both saw the new year in with a good drink......LEMSIP

she has hyperemesis gravidum and i don't think a lemsip will sort it

like i said though, she's on the mend now so fingers crossed.
she was the same with our last child so hopefully everything will turn out ok.
