You'll never earn as much with a partner in business,.. its not worth the hassle.

Who would gain from the partnership and how would it be divided if you wish to go your own ways after the partnership ends.

work in co operation but not in partnership.

You stick to windows and he does carpets and driveways. You can advertise and market together.

Too much ball ache if it all goes wrong, and these things do tend too.

you will only regret it...we are still mates but it was really tense many a day ...when we worked togther.

plus i earnt less togther than on my own...get a lad with you and work that way if you want the company but two bossses never a good idea!

I had a partner selling insurance etc about 20yrs ago. Doesn't work. A shame he was a good friend but never really spoke after we split it up. A good quick way to split up a friendship.

As previously said just cooperate together.Much better.

Although some people make it work.

My best mate works with me 2 days a week. I give him a 3rd of what I earn. Hes also done some canvassing for me and got me some good customers. A few months ago he asked if he could come into partnership with me if he pumped some money in. At first it sounded a great idea. But after thinking about it I told him a polite no. Its taken me 20 years to build this business. I would still be the one making the water at my house and all the other jobs that have to be done. So I'm so glad now that I said no.
So don't do it!!!

Obviously any large company have more than one Director (partner).
The best partnerships are when each partner brings expertise for example a Financial Director, a Marketing Director a Sales Director  and an Operations Director, with these skills you can build a large organisation but as the previous posts have said two working partners often doesnt work.

The trouble with a partnership is that one of you ends up feeling that they are doing more than their share and gets the hump. If you are going to team up do it in parallel, work togeather by all means but avoid the partnership and the shared money issues.

same as above...just use eachother for help on any large jobs....
