I had a guy helping me on my round two or three days a week, he had served 20 odd years in the Australian police, is married to an Australian, and has duel nationality. He decided he couldn't take to it living back here and went back to Australia.
Twelve weeks later they were back, he said that aus had changed and just wasn't the same.
He lasted 3 years and decided finally that Aus wasn't such a bad place after all and they went back again.
he has been back there about 6 years now and is loving it, unable to find work he started window cleaning, mostly shops. This guy now has all the work he needs, he's in his 60's but works from 7am till noon. He lives in Harvey Bay Queensland.
I have another mate who went for a holiday to Indonesia, he met a very attractive young lady in a bar, he came back here, sold his flat and moved out there with his life savings that amounted to about £80 grand including what he got from the flat. This guy is 74 and there's no NHS in Indonesia. Talk about burning your bridges, but he's as happy as can be, got a lot more bottle than me, that's for sure.
