i have a domain name for my website, also a host... now i need .. is it a server...? LWC has been very helpful regarding helping me set up... but we have come to a standstill .

You need to link the domain to the host,... then start building the site!!!

Unless your host has provided you with a way to upload your files (make sure your homepage is named "index") you will need an ftp client there are many free ones if you google them, then you will need your login ,pass etc.

who did you buy the domain name from, as you need to point your domain to your hosts, DH will have sent you your nameservers details

looking at there website they have a web building tool have you tried this
take a look in the guide section
you need a ftp program such as dream weaver or maybe your internet explorer can upload it for you but you will have to look at the guides if no joy contact them

no you dont, DH are your server ( your hosts )

DH do a nice little web-builder thing aswell ( on the left menu its under web builder )

have you got a site built yet ? ? ? ?

when you log into your DH control panel, you will see a :

FILE MANAGER ( 2nd row down and 2nd in )

click on this and you will be able to upload your site ( which will include a Index.html )

if you have a site built, you can E.mail them to me and your hosts details and i will upload them if you want

dream host are your server you have an account with them you need to upload your pages to were ever they tell you to put them have they activated your account try typing in your domain name see if any thing comes up usaly you see there advertizement

use there web designe tool if you havent already built your pages

You need an FTP program. Google "Filezilla",.. it does the job and its free.

If you don't us the dreamhost site builder, you'll also need a bit of design software,.. personally I love dreamweaver. You can download a fee 30 day trial at www.adobe.com

on the left hand menu under FAQ is WEB BUILDER

have a go at it, you enter company name and details

have a go and see what you get out of it, then let use have a look, then if your happy with it, i will add the meta tags etc etc for you if you like
