Calling all Cimex Encap users
« on: November 06, 2008, 06:02:59 pm »
I finally managed to get hold of one, thanks to all who posted in my search for a good unit.

I Know Shaun and Geoff have both got a cimex, can anyone else out there using the cimex encap post here and let me know.
Those who use the system know of it's many unique selling points for use in commercial environments.

Now I understand theres a reluctance for networking between CCs for domestic work, however I think working together to gain larger commercial jobs makes sense. There are many jobs in the commercial sector that are simply too large for one person to tackle, I think if we put our heads together we can put together competitive packages for such business and believe we can only gain from working together for such work. I for one would be willing to travel a wider radius if the job is large enough to warrant the extra mileage.

My initial idea was to have a website aimed specifically at promoting commercial carpet cleaning for an encap cleaners network for the UK, the site would be professional looking and very informative.

I'm just putting ideas forward here, nothings set in stone, please share your views and any ideas you have.

Thanks

Paul

It's been tried before, knowone benefitted from it.

Goron has just got rid of his network website, Simon Gerrard tried to do it, just does catch on.

Are you selling already, Shaun.
I'd be interested at the right price  ;)
As you probably know I enquired of Micks just before you got it.

Hi Dave

To see the actual machine google cimex cyclone R48, its a tripple head low moisture rotary machine, the encap name comes from the 'encapsulation polymers' used in the cleaning solution.

The cimex system is a better alternative to truck mount cleaning for commercial environments.  ::) Here we go !!!

This article is from USA cleaning mag ISSA

Encapsulation explained
Encapsulation is a newly established, low-moisture carpet-cleaning process designed especially for high-traffic commercial carpets with
moderate to heavy soiling. It works by using a specialized carpet-cleaning machine with an encapsulating detergent. The agitation of the
machine, along with the detergent’s chemical properties, quickly breaks the bond between the soil and the carpet fiber. The crystallizing polymers from the detergent surround the soil particles—hence the term “encapsulation”—preventing them from reattaching to the carpet fibers.
These crystallized soil particles are then easily vacuumed up. Polymers left behind in the carpet fibers can actually retard future soiling, as
remaining crystals provide a light film on the carpet fiber, keeping them from attracting more soil. Routine vacuuming continually removes the crystallized soil particles and as a result, many carpets stay cleaner longer.

From the Field

Jeff Helmer, owner of Executive Carpet Cleaning, often relied on truck-mounted units to clean carpets. When given the task
to clean the carpet in an assisted-living facility, Helmer knew a truck-mounted unit would not be feasible. After viewing a demonstration, Helmer concluded that he would get better results with encapsulation technology. At first, the facility’s building manager was unsure that
the smaller encapsulation machine could do the job. Helmer decided to perform a side-by-side demonstration for the building manager using the truck-mounted unit and the encapsulation process.

After the demonstration, the manager could see that the truck-mounted unit removed the dirt but took longer and left behind a residue while the encapsulation machine cleaned the carpet in less time and left it looking brand new. He immediately asked for all of his carpets to be cleaned using encapsulation, allowing Helmer to reduce labor costs, decrease cleaning time, and get the job done easier.

I have just put an advert in the wanted section - I need a set (3) of  pad holders for a Cimex C48.
These are 8" dia (200mm).

If any sets of pads still in good condition available - would be interested as well.

Joe ,
I have  a fair few pads , still in the box  , personaly I dont like them and much prefer to stick to the brushes. I find the pads tend to wear unevenly and very fast making for a juddering action, much like a bonnet when it,s not on correctly.

Geoff
who ever said dont knock before u try ,i never tried dog crap but i know i wouldnt like  haha
