TM header tank
« on: September 11, 2008, 03:24:19 pm »

Is anyone breaking a Spitfire 4.0 TM, I am looking for a header tank.

The previous owner has screwed the bottom feed pipe in too tight and caused a hairline crack in the casing. Taken me ages to sus it out,

Or does anyone know a of a product that can be applied to it. Must be able to handle the heat and vibration etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi
Dont know what your header is made of but we had the same problem with stainless tank on our machine-had to have it welded to sort the problem.

Its a plastic type compound, so cant solder/weld it.

Looking for something like Araldite or some sort of Radweld product, some thing that will stick like brown stuff to a blanket.

Hi.

Came across this site a while back. Maybe they have something suitable. www.plastexexpress.co.uk
