40mph winds and chucking in down ....
« on: August 13, 2008, 06:43:21 am »
No window cleaning for me today  in  ( sunny , hot - err not this year )  Cornwall:-\

I feel very sorry for any body camping on holiday here at the moment - particularly families  :-\

I've heard a lot of folks down here camping have packed up early on gone home due to there campsite becoming water logged.

Lets just hope this small natural climatic cycle, and not a long term cycle due to Earths rapid warming.

Same here further along the coast opposite the Isle of Wight. Lost out yesterday and today's going to be the same. Saturday working planned, but they say it's going downhill again at the weekend.

I'm wanting to Protecacote my van, and service it too - but need a dry day to do it, and when its dry I have to work.

I was never this far behind last year !!

The one thing that frustrates,  me about this job is  -' OK' I reside to the fact I can't work today - but then also I can't catch up on my own jobs as they are all outside !! >:(

I feel like a caged animal......

Might get me Cag on and go for a walk on the coast  ( once my paperwork/PC work is done) :-\

I am in Portsmouth and it is blowing pretty hard at the moment. Decided to have today off after yesterday's weather. Quietish week, so no real problem. Helping my wife redecorate the kid's bedrooms...  :'(  ;D

What do the wfp guys do in this weather? I carry on doing trad up to a point but now with this rain I'm thinking that wfp is not as good as it seams.

Hay M .. Where abouts in Cornwall are you?

Personally for me I'll work through drizzle, and if it pours whilst doing a job I'll finish in the rain.

But  I won't go to work if its set in for day, I won't bother going out as most of my customers are domestic.  My commercials, and shops however, I'll do in any weather.
