I've never been to bed with an ugly bird but I've woken up with loads!

Used it today.

Positive points :

Lightweight, means that awkward angles are much easier to do.
Splays nicely, but stiff enough to do some good scrubbing, happy with how it feels
Brush doesn't retain much dirt, which is very good, did two new cleans today, brush got a bit dirty, but came out quite well, happy to see that I can actually see the dirt cuz it's white.

What I am puzzled about is, why are there so many bristles removed, it's almost not Dual trim anymore, more like single trim, there needs to be more inner trim bristles no doubt.

It is to allow a variety of jets to be used without having to start pulling bristles out. I do agree however that we could do with adding a few more bristles back in. This is the advantage of having the first few production runs in the hundreds rather than the thousands as customer feedback can be easily incorporated into the next ones.

We have a single-trim version coming out next week that is slightly lighter again.

As you know alex if you use 2mm jets you only need enough of a gap for a free flow of water, pack it full of bristles the type of bristles that you`ve used bounce back to there origanal place so i reckon there`s room for a good few more in the brush.

Got mine today and couldn't believe how few bristles there were - bearing in mind i had just been using a vikan mono. Initial impressions were how unstable the brush felt, i couldn't get it to splay evenly, sometimes it splayed outwards and sometimes inwards. Couldn't get the angle right because it's a very narrow brush. Anyone coming from a Vikan mono will find it strange i'm sure. I'm hoping it's going to be like one of those cd's you buy but hate at first but turn out to be one your all time favourites. Have to say it looks good, cleans well but would agree with Lukes comments particularly about stability. I don't think it's a brush for everything but for purely glass cleaning it seems very good.

The bristles should last for a good couple of years in standard use.

Also what I found is, that the screw plate has been screwed too hard to the stock, making the stock bent a little bit in  the middle. Doesn't seem to effect bristle length though.

Also, you can see where they used the staples in the the top corner, and lower corner. Little bumps coming out, I only realised they were staples because the metal of one of the staples started to show. That's purely cosmetic though. :)

Excellent brush though, works very well on glass.

There were one or two instances today, that I would have preferred my stiffer Ionics multipole brush, one window had rosepetals dried on it, and they were very difficult to shift, I don't think I would have had that problem with the Ionics as much. I'm absolutely not saying that the brush needs to be stiffer, just that for very dirty frame cleans, a slightly stiffer brush could be better, also I had one window were there was some yellow/orange muck on there, like from a bee or something, that didn't come off.  Then again now that I've used this brush, I really would not like to go back to the Ionics, it's too stiff, doesn't splay nicely. It's remarkably similar in bristle spacing, and the amount of brisltes per hole, even the bristles seem the same, just a different grade. I'm quite happy about that.

But that would probably only be for 10% of cases, I mean, a brush that can clean this well for 90% of all things you need, including being a real superlite brush, is marvellous, and a very good thing.

I hope in time I can upgrade my brush to an improved model with more bristles, and perhaps even lighter, but that might be difficult.

Alex, is there plastic available in a honeycomb or similar structure? Because I can see that being the only way to cut down the weight, there is almost not stock anyway.

Am I happy with the brush? Heck yea, for me it's absolutely in first place, never used the Tucker.

As to the instability of the brush, see it as the Vikan being a foam surfboard, while the Super-lite is a slim pro board, more difficult to stabilise perhaps, but it's all about getting used to it, and finding that balance. Once you've found it, you're there cleaning away. I came from the Ionics brush, and that had the same problem, but worse, since it was stiffer.

There need to be tradeoffs, the Vikan is a pig on a stick weight wise, and the bristles flick around way too much, it is just not made for cleaning windows. I'm never going back to that....ever.
