Steve, you can't in any way compare them to a fishing pole. Except that the SL2 is modular.

Doh 'xcuse me Tim but if push comes to shove the SL2 is (in my humble opinion) from a company called Garbolino which make pretty good fishing poles.
Ok so you dont actually use the top 3 or 4 sections of the fishing pole  and after section 6 or so of the gardiner pole they are all parallel, but they are based on a FISHING POLE, albeit chopped and shaped  and reinforced to result in an excellent piece of window cleaning kit. Well done Alex and Co.

I'm a bit suprised how little feedback there is, when the SL-X came out the forum was on fire, seems like not everyone wants to share their experiences with it?

I used the new brush for the whole day today, I must say I'm very impressed. It has good scrubbing power and is brilliant to rinse on. Did my mums place today after work not been done for months and rinsed on with perfect results. The White bristles are really good you can see how dirty the brush is from the ground, I found it quite enducational today seeing what places the brush was getting dirty on.
The water just seems to fall out the bottom of the brush. I think I'd like to see more middle bristles but I don't know if it would effect the rinse on ability and the scrubbing ability of the beush is good all ready, easily taking out bird doings.

Found mine a bit slow on snails trails on the glass today. It seems to scrub in a different way to other bushes. Vikans seem to scrub with the tips whereas this brush scrubs better when splayed. Stock is quite flexible and bends easily but doesn't seem to be a problem. Doesn't hold much dirt, at least it shouldn't curl up and clog like a flocked Bentley.

Used it on new and old leadedlights, and it works very well, flows over the glass quite nicely. Very happy with it.

Has anyone noticed, that at extreme angles over flat roofs, the brush seems to grind to a halt when you go over a certain angle? I've had it only with beading windows today, so that might have had a lot to do with it, but I can't remember if my old Ionics did that too. Interesting.

No bristle-ripping is done by myself!  We have them manufactured as they are.  The next batch we are planning on having a slightly smaller gap around the jet hole.

We do have a single trim version coming out next week which has a far greater density of bristles.

let me know when single trim version is ready as i was gonna order another one today till i read this
