It's not a hot air post but just to give people ideas on pricing, I got stuck in the rut when I first started when old pros told me to charge 50p per window. If I did that I would not be in this industry.
Times are changing and will get harder so will we. For example a new start monthly outgoings.
Mortgage £600
Household bills, Council tax, gas, elec etc.. £500
Food Biil £700
Fuel £300
Total £2100
Yearly totaly £25,200
Working weeks you will work in a year 48 , divide £25,200 by 48 = £525
Average working days in a week 4, divide £525 by 4 = £131.25
Average working hours in a day 6, divide £131.25 by 6 = £21.87
I would have to hit £21+ to cover basics, so as a business to cover costs I would have to earn double!!!
Hope I make sense but we should not be in this job to be struggling, any business is out to make profit so why not window cleaning.
The above figures are just fictional so please do not pick faults, it is just trying raise awareness that we should not be struggling in this job. Hope I make sense
