Well now, hasn't it been quiet on here about the above lately!
What with the "record breaking Topic" on the Harris Decorators pole!
It seems to have cooled on responses!
Well here is a left-handed reply:
The SL-X is the pole I find myself reaching for...ground floor, first and often second floor...
The reasons are simple (sorry but I can't be bothered with a video)
I love the clamps, they work perfectly for someone left-handed
I love the length of the sections, they are perfect height or raising the next section
I love the rigidity of the pole fully extended because it is so well balanced
I love the pole fully collapsed because it is the first telescopic pole I have used that balances in my hands perfectly whilst cleaning ground floor windows.
Am I happy with it and its cost? Most definitely yes!
As someone close to me said today..."Why is a 'professional windowcleaner' trying to prove that a 'Decorators pole' is better? They are made for decorators!"
I don't have time to experiment or butcher with tools from the wrong trade, or to simply seek notoriety from this obscure means(w/c forum) of competing, I just want to help fellow professional windowcleaners keep us looking like that, as a trade, not as a diy image. Youtube is useful but not the real world.
In conclusion, my message is - If you want to be professional, then buy and learn to use professional tools made by dedicated companies who make professional tools and you'll find that they will suit your professional business.
If you want to be a diy expert doing diy jobs well that's ok too, but try not to get the two confused.
