650 ltr lay flat tank to swap
« on: May 25, 2008, 06:32:15 pm »
Due to buying a pickup I am looking to swap my tank detailed above with a smaller tank (minimum of 400 ltr) for local swap in Derbys/Notts area. Mine is in good condition but is a bit too long for the new motor so yours would need to be 1000mm long or less.
Thanks
Dave

I am looking for a 650 lay flat tank and have a 400 tank to swap.

Only problem the length on the tank is 1250mm - standard size so it is not going to go in anyway - but I would be interested in yours

Rob ;D

I've got an L200. The tank fits in ok but there is no room to put the reel behind it.

hi do you have a hard top on rear? i had one and was able to put a sheet of exterior ply then screw hose reel on top was a tight squeeze but doable.

Yes its got a snugtop. But because the 650l tank is quite high there is only about a foot spare if that.

Thanks James but I think 325ltrs would be a bit too small for a full day. Thanks anyway. By the way, if I had to buy a 500ltr tank, do you do them?

Yes but ideally a 500ltr tank is about 1000mm long which would let me sit the reel on the bed behind the tank  :)

you could try plasticwatertanks.com for a custom tank, then design it so its higher at the back, but also fills the whole space and is shallow at the back so you can fix a wood frame ontop for other stuff, kinda like a upright and flat fixed together, but custom made, good prices, worth a try
