Did you loose your voice  ;D ;D ;D

I pressed post before I had typed my reply!!!!!!!!!  ;D

I've done it now so check my last post!!  :)

groundhog,

Can you do me a favour mate  :)

Please explain how you did that 'shooting up pole' thing. I presume I need to buy some of those little black clips (in the picture) and replace the screw fastenings on the Harris with the black clips?...I'm just a little unsure how to go about it.

1. What do I need and where do I get it?
2. How do I change them over (or do I need to?)
3. How do you get the pole to drop back down?
4. How does the pole stay up?

I must admit, I was very impressed with the video  :)
If you've got time a 'step by step' guide would be great.

Cheers
Dave.

Changing the clamps is nothing to do with the flicking up and down, Just undo your clamps on the Harris pole and practice flicking the pole out in front of you, I my self am just getting the hang of it.

When the pole is at the hight you want hold the hose were it comes out the bottom and lift the pole up right, The pole should stay there and when its time to lower it just let the hose slip through your fingers.
I'm Sure Groundhog will be on later and give you a more indepth explanation, but thats the basics.
Just make sure there's no kids riding past on a bike when you flick it out. :o

just take out the sections from bottom, add a band of tape, and try again this will solve the problem of it coming out to far  ;)

So you leave the screw fittings slightly loose on the Harris (enough that the telescopic extensions will come out) and flick it up?

So is it just the angle you're standing at that keeps the pole up? The weight of the extending section trapping on the lower section is enough to keep it up?

Can you get much pressure on the brush head this way?

Yep! Just slacken off the clamps enough to let them slide easily, slacken to much and you'll do a Gary999  ;D

What keeps it up is you holding the hose with a couple of fingers at the base of the pole.

The pole will swivel if you twist the pole, but its easy to get the hang of it.

Hi Dave, I've only just seen your post mate, otherwise I would have got back to you earlier. I think Jeff has done a good job explaing how to do the clampless thing! It really is just a matter of practise, it's well worth the effort though because it is definetly the fastest method of working with wfp!! If I get the chance I will do a close up video showing how to use the pole clampless, you can use some other poles in this way. I used my predator as a clampless pole when the clamps wore out, but the Harris works far better as a clampless pole as the sections slide in and out so smoothly!!  :)

Nice one!

I'm looking forward to the close up video of how you do that and how it stays up etc etc...

Will you be adding the link on this thread?

I held the pole up as groundhog said just by pushing the hose up slightly but then didn't have a spare hand to press my trigger  ;D

So as i use a trigger have to stay with doing up the clamps

;D Yes Paul I can see how that would be a problem mate, perhaps you could try an auto brush. I'm going to try to make one, unless Peter fancies giving me a discount on one, so I can review it for him?  ::)
