nice one dave, heres another tip for the harris users, if you dont have a flow controller, when you want the flow to stop, just bend the hose into the hanging hole in the handle  ;D

Am I the first one with a broom adapter

Did you just cut it off a broom and remove the harris fitting and fit on there or can you buy these broom adapters somewhere

Good pic Dai  :)
Most of the broom handles fit inside the Harris no1 complete with the screw thread. But dont swivel as Dai's I do similar with the Unger swivel T bar and angle adapter.

cheers to dai who came up the idea months ago saved me money
thats hard earnt and so easy to spend when you really dont need to ;)

Absolutely mate, I new this was a good pole thats why I posted the videos!! As you say the mockers have faded away, as even they must realise that this is a serious pole thats great value for money. I have challenged the flash pole brigade to post a video, as I have done to show why their pole is worth 100's of pounds more than mine!!! but nobody has accepted the challenge as yet!!!!!!!  ;D Come on guys we are waiting!!  ;)

nwh no one is saying there is nothing new here except a basic pole
thats easy to convert very usable and good value for money and saves
people spending out money they dont need too

your work in general you say is of higher level cleaning obviously the harris
pole doesnt work at those heights fair enough but 90% of my work is 2 floor
property and it is as good as the xtels universal etc for the job it does at a
greatly reduced price.

if it doesnt come from a manufacturer there is a general stuck up attitude
towards people who as they say diy

groundhog put this post up to show the poles worth and he has more than succeded, nobodyhas said slx or s2 dont have there place and if my higher level worked
increased i would invest in one.but why would i invest £400 in a pole because it can also do ground floor when i can do that for £15

And for the Guy's who doubt its use for downstairs windows, I have a few properties where the pole is to long to do them straight on, but the swivel on my Gaz brush sorts this problem out, I can stand side on and do the windows with the harris pole, so dia's swivel idea is a good one for anyone with lower windows in narrow area's.

i tried cleaning a lot quicker than i normally would do today to see what the results were like guess what spotless no runs no spots brill in fact prob better than when i take my time thanks for showing the clips it opened my eyes a bit and i am going to try and build a Harris wfp as soon as i have two Min's thanks for sharing it i have learned something and has put a lot of faith in my wfp technique as well thanks
only thing was i was knackered trying it quick not  as quick as you but it dose show you can be quick and get good results ;)

Thanks mbs! I am really flattered to get so many positive comments!! I will try to post some more clips next week if I get the chance to show just how quick a regular clean can be done!! It's a good workout too, so you will increase your fitness, and earn more money at the same time!!! And of course I would recommend the harris pole to you, as it really is a great little pole, and at 15 quid you have nothing to lose!!! :)

Plenty of ways of keeping costs to a minimum - make your own Bentley brushes for a couple of quid, buy a gas tap from B&Q for six quid and solve your flow problems (or use silicone tubing), drive a Skoda Favourite. I posted before about there being no need to spend a fortune and got a very hostile response from people who insisted you had to have the best equipment and flash van - you don't.
Having said that i'm loving my SLX  ;) and have started using a Vikan mono.

Might have a look in B&Q later today.

Vikan mono in my opinion - easy to get and a reasonable price, last for ages. Once you get over the fist clean a Bentley is far lighter and does the job.

Might go into B&Q later if I've got nothing better to do  ;D ;D ;D

Liked the stanley adaptor.
