If you get ANY resin coming from your DI then you have a faulty DI IMO. I've used two 11Ltr ones for over 4 years & never had any resin get through. The higher the flow through a DI the less the time it gives 000ppm.

Tony

Yes but it will still produce the same amount of pure water. You may have to slow it down a little when the reading starts to rise, but by then it's time to  start thinking about changing it anyway.

Peter

So why not still have the di's in the van & fill tank in no time at full mains pressure & be left with the option to fill up on site? My advise is a no-lose situation. ;)

In my experience (regardless of what others say) a slow flow rate still produces more pure water, i've done both many times & found the slow route to be more productive. ;)

You could have shaken the vessel, put it in van & had 000ppm tommorow without changing the resin. anyway, you'll see a difference now it's in the van. ;)

purlite

Thats the worst mate IMO from experience too!  I use DOWEX now & it lasts much longer than purolite. Once purolite hits 001ppm you've had it, it'll be spent in a day. I've had dowex stay at 001ppm for 2 weeks! & then only slowly rise.
