Hi Alex i need a 500ltr upright tank that is leak free,it needs to be the same size as 2x250 tanks butted together so that it fits into my frame,i beleive the flat tank style lids don`t leak.Any idea on price please.

If you mean a custom built one then you will be looking at about £360 + £20 delivery (very rough quote!) The 8" lids on the custom really do not leak at all.

One of our vehicles is kitted out with a standard flat 500 litre tank with a vented lid that does not leak. We tape up the vent inside and just put a pin-prick in the tape, that's all you need to stop the tank imploding and still no leaks.

The standard 500 Litre upright on our site is not quite the same size as 2x 250litre tanks, also its got the different lid.

7-9 working days to be made and delivered. It can be made to your exact specifications so that it fits perfectly inside your current frame. What you will need to do is to draw out a diagram of the tank required with the outer dimensions, also draw where you want the lid and the outlet (or multiple outlets if you want) also a sight level gauge is a good idea as the tanks are opaque. This level gauge is basically two elbows out with a length of clear hose fitted between.

Here is an idea of what one of mine looks like, this is a 380 litre tank- the far left outlet is where my elbow to the pump is screwed in and the other two holes have elbows screwed in with clear hose between-

it could also simply be the fact that either the male or female fitting on the easi-snap /schrader whatever is worn

I suspect that if ww has no type of fitting clip that using one of whatever type will resolve the issue.

A few others have had this problem, I think it was something to do with Proxy Server settings. I will try and look up what someone found worked.

Going back to the original topic, Hyphose supply and fit excellent sleeves. Not as cheap but only about £1. They are totally sealed and dont catch on anything.

Got even more soaked today.

it is not the hose it is the connections from tap to hose
you cant tighten them up and it leaks like hell.

I remember someone on here a while ago saying they had this problem.

I tried my other pole on it and the connection would not lock  :

Maybe I have two difference fittings even though they come from the same place

Undo the the bolt on the shrader fitting if there is one and cover the thread in plumbers tape,i did this on the backpack when i first got it and it solved the problem.

it is not the tread m8, I have ptfe'd the treads it is not coming from there, when you click the two together----0 it is coming from there

Sounds like you have a dodgy minibore connector,i`ve had the odd 1 leak but there mainly the copies.

will change that in a bit, and try another, I would not know if they are copies to be honest they look the same.

Look inside the top of it,the bearings are smaller and of better quality you can instantly see the difference.
