been getting a wet leg leg from pole hose to tap,

any one else had this problem?

Yes, its the PTFE tape mate. Unscrew it and wrap more PTFE tape around the thread and screw it back in. Make sure you wrap the tape clockwise so you dont unravel it, Luke

it is coming from the pole hose Luke, the ptfe is working fine.

pole hose is pushed on to a barb thats where it is leaking from, I got totally soaked today, before only a little bit but is taking the mick

Or your pipes beginning to split around the insert. If it is get some spare 10mm olives ready and some spare inserts. That's if  your using Gardiners valves.

there is no split, I didnt get them from alex, I was thinking something like a clamp, but unsure if you can get them for that size

Don't wear the tap on a holster on your hip/leg. Put it on the pole instead.

I have had this before, its where the hose pushes onto the barb, its because whatever you are using to clamp the hose onto it, is not clamping all the way around, its squeezing onboth sides, but opening a gap for the high pressure water to spray out. I have used the O clip things but didnt like them much, i used the smallest jubilee i could find, but they may not be still in the right circular shape when tightened up to make smaller, so use some pliers to bend the jub clip round again before tightening. Also i would wrap ptfe tape thick around the outside of the hose where the jub clip would tighten on so it cushioned the hose and stopped the same thing happening.

Ian don`t buy a separate O ring,go onto essentially pures website and order a O ring kit,you`ll get about 15 rings + pliers + micro-minibore connectors for about 25-£30.

Or go on Ebay, buy a packet of fifteen for about six quid and use a pair of two quid nail pincers.

Hi Alex i need a 500ltr upright tank that is leak free,it needs to be the same size as 2x250 tanks butted together so that it fits into my frame,i beleive the flat tank style lids don`t leak.Any idea on price please.
