Delightful Job Today!!!
« on: March 22, 2008, 02:38:04 pm »
Just had  a call this morning from one of our regular hotels.

This morning the cleaners went to clean the hotel bar toilets and all the ceiling had fallen in and there was water all over the place.

They eventually traced it to a guests room above the bar, he had got in after midnight and decided to run himself a bath........then fallen asleep!

However, that is not the only issue with this guest, when they knocked on his door they could smell sh!t.  He had sh!t himself through the night and it was spread over both duvet covers (2 singles) all over the the carpet, on the walls and through the bathroom.

We got called to ask if we could clean up all the mess and dump all the bedding and the carpets.........delightful!!!!! :P

The chap was still in the room when we got there, still looking pis*ed and not bothered or embarrassed in the slightest, apparently he'd even been down for breakfast and complained that his eggs were overcooked!

Our bill so far is over £200 and we haven't even started drying out the bar toilets yet.  Back in tomorrow morning to rip off the toilet ceiling and stick in a dehumidifier and sahara for a few days.

Happy Easter!!

I was supposed to be off for an archery lesson today with my daughter, but it's been cancelled due to the winds.

The insurance company have given us the go ahead to do the full job. So:

New carpet getting fitted Tuesday
Electrics being checked out and air movers/dehumidifiers are in, ceiling and tiles have been pulled off
Plasterer/Tiler sorted for when area is dry
Got my own decorator to paint.

Is there anything else I've missed?

Could this be the start of a happy relationship with insurance companies.......doubt it, but it would be nice ;D

Went in today to have a look at how it's getting along on the drying front.

John Kelly has loaned me 3 Drieaz machines and an extra Sahara to get the place dried out and it seems to be coming along very nicely.  My new ex Rainbow technician is keeping me in check and overseeing the op.

Ripped off the bath panel today, along with the hardboard that was under the lino
