Eclipse has arrived
« on: December 15, 2004, 06:28:40 pm »
Well the machine arrived this afternoon and what a beast. It is well built and robust.I will be using it tomorrow for the first time so I will post again tomorrow. The downside to the eclipse is the weight it is heavy but not unmanagable and the wand is not the best i've seen but more tomorrow.Overall I'm very pleased with the machine ;D

I agree its a really nice machine! Build quality is the best ive seen which explains the weight, but it is liftable with no problems getting it into the Kangoo.

Keeping brief as I'm about to start using it ;D

Rug Clean and first impressions of Eclipse are that its one hell of a machine ;D
I had no problems with the 2 power cables which i simply ran from one double socket, the heat made it 3 power points, my house doesnt have the greatest wiring and some things cause it to trip but it didnt so dont see this being a problem in the future.
The vacuum is very strong, in another league when compared to the comanche and quieter than the prochem machine too( cant knock the comanche its been a good reliable servant) The pump which is HUGE produces ample preasure and is a real breath of fresh as air i hated being limited to 100psi.
As i mentioned before the build quality is supurb, seeing the machine on the computer doesnt do it justice!!
I look forward to using it on a proper job so i can get to grips with it a little more.

Steve/Paul,

Your first impressions were positive for the Eclipse.  Now that you've both had your machines for a couple of weeks what are your overall impessions now?  Any niggles?  A good buy?

Regards.

I'm chuffed to bits with my Eclipse ;D Its a very impressive machine and the Vacuum power really does give fantastic drying times, maybe even half that of the comanche so should be able to run plenty of hose lenght.
The waste output hose i different to anything else ive seen, although at first its a little fiddly it may turn out to be quite useful.
The machine is reasonably heavy but as i'm still in my twenties (Just :-[) Ive not found this to be an issue as it goes in and out of the van easily, I understand a 300psi machine would be coniderably lighter and doubt i'll use the full 500+ psi anyway so if weight was a concern the eclipse is still viable.
I'm sure this machine will get plenty of interest at the cleaning show as IMO its head and shoulders above anything at carpex, Ive had a couple of visitors already who are looking to upgrade and both have been very impressed.

Merry Christmas  :)

Anyone thinking of starting up or changing his or her machine should seriously consider the Eclipse from Solution. I have only start using it properly this week following on from trying it before Xmas. What a difference in drying times and no of passes needed to clean the carpet. With my ninja doing an average size room it would use a full tank of water but the eclipse does not use as much water. That’s something I don’t understand as I was running it a 300psi but the ninja only 135psi but hey who’s complaining. Customers I have done in the past are commenting that they can see a difference obviously I wasn’t doing as good a job as I thought. The 4 jet wand is fantastic its light and performs brilliantly no streaks. I must get a ramp for the rear of the van as my back won't take much more of this lifting in and out. Defiantly contact Nick at Solution for more details if you are thinking of changing your machine you won’t regret it I know I don’t. Or wait till the cleaning show in March for a demo ;D

It's like thisNickP, if you buy the advantage today you will be looking for more power and performance six months down the road, so if you can why not get the extra right now.

Ive got the Advantage and agree with Fintan.  It needs more psi.

How does the Eclipse heat the water?  Does it need three leads?
