microbore leaks

Im using a trolley and using microbore hose with microbore tap vale for easy on and off of the water! i Ptfe all the connections at the vale tap! which has stopped all leaks but now have a leak at the trolley end! iv tried 2 jublie clips and they just over tighten and dont stop it!! anyone got any ideas to stop it??

also the as you can see the below the hozelock connector has starded to leek now!! i belive the brass ones are better? but anyone got any ideas to stop the leaks?

i have microbore connected to te intlet of this!! pleaseee helpp

Dave is that Scrims trolley, looks good. Anyway, you may need to use o clips instead of jubilles and use better connectors, Luke

i would take the jubilee clip off and the hose, wrap a load of ptfe tape tightly round the male tail from the pump, then push the hose over that, and wrap some more around where the jubilee clip would go, then tighten it over that, sometimes the jubilee clips can squeese, but miss squeesing one part around the hose, and that bit leaks.
The brass ones are much better, but get the ones with the metal balls that hold the connector in rather than brass ones with the plastic clips inside.

its when i connect my microbore into the hozlock connectuion above^ then the hose tail leaks. the above jublie clip to the pump is fine.

you mean over the hose tail before i connect it to the hozelock conector above?

"wrap some more around where the jubilee clip would go" exactly were do you mean on that sounds like you ment outside of the hose which carnt be right lol

I would still change to minibore,the only thing plastic is good for is on the system where there`s no strain on them,there plugged in together and left alone with no stress or pulling on them.

get a 8mm (microbore) schrader female water stop ez snap connector, for the end of the hose, or buy one from me £10 each :-)

yes i do mean on the inside where the hose would go over, and on the outside of the hose, ive done this before, it takes up the space that the jubilee clip misses underneathe the screw. Or it could be the size of the jubilee clip either, get a smaller one, or take it off and use pliers to bend it to a more round shape. Dont tighten too much though as it will squish the plastic tail.

a good alternative to hozelocks are GECA fittings....i just wish i could find pics or post em

nice one luke ;D ;D ;D i use the hose end couplings to attatch reel to trolley,cheaper than hozelocks ,the washers cost pence and best of all......NEVER LEAK ;D.....really not at all

imo they are shot hot  ;D if you need to connect hose to hose,can be difficult to seperate if under pressure tho but guarentee no leaks ;D ;D ;D cheap too and mega tough

how do you connect hose to them then looks like you need something else 2 connect to the little arms that come out.
