Just an idea coming from a different direction.  Is it possible to adjust the point at which the pump cuts out?  Like a screw on a pressure switch.  This would help stop a build up of pressure and therefor have less leaky joints.

I did sort my problem thanks thorpe ;D

the hozelock connection on the trolley still leaks a tinyyyyy bit which i will replace to a brass one soon.

my trolley has a veristream! how long is your system sposed to shut off? after closing your pole tap mines takes abount 2-3 seconds sometimes its around 5- 7 then comes on now n then for second or 2 to keep pressure in the system so am told :)

the pump coming on is "cycling" and its caused by a leak in the system somewhere (maybe really tiny)the pressure drops and the pump takes up the slack (so to speak) as for shut off time i find it varies on length of hose thats rolled out, battery power, height of brush etc....or at least it seems to ???
the GEKA fittings really reduced the cycling on my set up but are limited in their use i spose :)
how come the bloke who asked about leaky hozelocks never replied ???

So is it normal to come off and on a when you have ur tap closed pump off? or is it not sposed to do that at all?

ye iv noticed that it varies alot! its just the hose doing my head in now lol.

A varistream will fire the pump up for a fraction of a second every now and then just to see if the pressure has dropped, if it has then it will turn the pump on until the pressure builds up again.

You can lower the pressure at which the pump cuts out, this will not lower the flow rate, but it will help with your leaky connections.  A bit of experimenting might be in order.  It's easily possible on max  setting on the varistream that your pump will blow the tightest of connections, as there is now pressure switch to tell it to stop.
