Seriously though

From what i've read on here and I am new, most of it is areally good exchange of ideas to help each other
But seems to me no good comes from implying you've got some superior knowledge that you can't share yet because people arent ready for it. And thats how I read this.

Mind you I dont know much I'm just trying to pick it up

Hi jus.

i wouldnt bother trying to put an opinion over or try and crack a funny,

they dont respond, they are simply having a big bash at each other and are def waiting for Mr S.

I thought it was fun to begin with but now its simply bitching.

Gary.

..........The best thing is to not assume your business skills from another trade will apply to this one. don't assume you already know it all.

Mac Mac, what I dont understand is how this business differs so much from any other one. Thats an honest statement BTW.

Please could you enlighten me.

Mark

There are many differences davo & too many varients to discuss. That's why some of these posts are so entertaining when looking in from an experienced view.

Imagine me going onto a painter & decorators forum & after being in the business for 6 months suggesting to them that they're all going about their business the wrong way. what they need is a nitrous oxide injected van & carbon fibre brushes!

Mac mac youve just answered the question I asked you the other night. Now i know why you are so aggressive in some of your replies.

I can only speak from my own perspective, but i dont think anyone is telling you how to run your business. This is a forum and members will post topics they feel the need to discuss. Opinions will differ, new members will join and post. Much of what you say is valuable information, the way you have run your business (over many years) has worked for you, and you deserve respect and recognition for that fact.

Many posters IMO only offer a different perspective on things, there's more than 1 way to skin a cat. However I dont think its a challenge to your experience, or the experience of many long standing members of this forum.

What is apparent is your reluctance to give other points of view any merit ( based on your perception of the posters experience). Window cleaning may be a business like no other, but PEOPLE ARE STILL PEOPLE.

MacMac, had you been a successfull window cleaner i think the painters and decorators should listen to you.

I've reread earlier and sorry for being insulting- if you weren't there to argue with this would have been a very short conversation.

I wasn't a solictor,no.i haven't read lee Iaccocas book (boss of ford i think or gm) but that is the sort of thing I would enjoy reading.

I don't really care about winning arguments, i'm interested in exploring ideas. Window cleaning is great for this because of it's simplicity. It is just the same as other businesses, the trick is transfering the things that work for wc.And that's what Davo and I are pushing.
