You would be stupid to buy one  end of,for a bit more money you can get a properly installed system with comebacks.You would be better off buying one as close to home as you can,if i was selling them like that i would love it if you were miles away cos if anything went wrong my phone would just ring and ring and ring,caller id lol.

You lot are amazing, the fellas asked you to comment on what you think of his DIY van system.

And many have provided some very constructive critisism. But to ridicule the man because he wants to offer a fitting service to other cleaners I think is dissgraceful.

The fella is trying to earn a living, so for that hes a conning b******d preying on the vulnerable. By all means give him the advice he wants but dont slag him off for it.

And of course its going to be dearer than doing it yourself the man has to earn a profit doesnt he?.

I agree. All he is doing is trying to make money like everyone else. The idea of a travel to you service is very good IMO.

The only reason he has a travel-to-you service is because he doesnt want you to turn up with your van at his house, and therefore see instantly this aint a business at all.

This is a big fat con by some window cleaner bloke who has thought "hey some companies charge a lot for these systems, I could make them and jump on the bandwagon"

Get of your high horses and let the guy make a living, I for one know that I was a poope w/c when I started  but you learn as you go.

Who is to say that this guy won't be making great systems in a couple of years.

Hi Pro-Systems,

What would work for you, if you were prepared to travel, is a fitting service for people who have bought all of the bits, but did not have the time or inclination to plumb/wire/bolt it all together.

You could perhaps charge £400 complete fitting service, plus a suitable out of area travelling fee, which should take you about 4-6 hours to carry out. You would need to have good public liability insurance and a template contract for the client to sign before you started cutting holes in their van. If you started fitting tanks for them though you would need to get serious about bolting a proper frame around the chassis, for this you could charge extra.

The trouble with selling the type of system that you have pictured above (apart from the safety issues) is that the type of client who would be happy having such a basic system would probably just build it themselves.

Nwh, Isn't that what we are all trying to do? Make some money! I agree with some of the comments about the safety and design of what he is selling and that it looks shoddy (I wouldn't buy it) but like all these things it's buyer beware.

My point is that I would never shoot a guy for trying to get as much as possible for something they are selling. If there is people out there prepared to pay over the odds for this then that is their lookout, but it can be addressed on here without slaughtering everything about the guy.

Tony I stand by what I said. The fella asked for critisism not a slagging off for trying to earn a living.

As regards to wether it represents value for money is a different issue. He will soon find out how good it is when he finds out wether it sells or not.
