Presumably you have tried cleaning jets to see if that cures it?, if not then disconnecting pole hose,if not disconnect microbore, keep disconnecting till you find the problem, hopefully it will be a blockage and not the pump.

A common reason for poor pump performance is dodgy electrics.  The first thing I would do is go through the whole electrical feed, checking all of your connections, tightening any screws and checking the spade connectors on the pressure switch.  Also, check that your battery is fully charged.  Are you using a split charge relay system?  If you are, often they need charging about every 2 weeks to maintain full power.

You don't have to remove the breather caps.  I'd leave it charging for 24 hours on a trickle charger.

Was it an Universal or an X-Tel 24 ft?

the pump diaphram could be wearing, as when you turn the flow valve closed, the pump is working against itself as the water suddenly has no where to go- and without a varistream, the pump is allways on full power from your battery. I would get a varistream, and make sure you battery is fully charged, each night.

luckily mine has not needed additional charging since it was put it over 18 months ago, however this winter has shown that the vans main battery has been neglected on the charging front and as a result I have had to leave this one on charge for 24 hrs

Hi MBS,

Are you sure that it is a 24ft one as the only ones we had in orange were the 20ft Universal (we bought a small amount off another distributor in this colour). I will get you a price for the No.5 and No.6 sections with fittings.

Thanks for the information.  I'll have to wait until the office is open tomorrow and check the records. I'll get back to you then.
