Wind me up a bit on here sometimes. Where i live there are a lot of factory workers and chatting to my sister-in-law tonight (she is a wages clerk) she was telling me that the night shift workers were earning good money - just over £3oo per week including bonus before tax! where she works. How can you pay a morgage etc and pay to have your windows cleaned/cons roof scrubbed/facias washed etc on that kind of money?

The point that Davew is making is a valid one. If all your customers are on low money they won't have surplus readies to pay for window cleaning.
Round here those sort of factories are full of Polish workers and the bosses are rubbing their hands with glee. Why pay a living wage when these guys are more than happy to work for half?

Exactly, in my area you just can't go on dumping late payers, poor payers etc and go straight out and pick up new work - it's not that easy. Same goes for some of the high prices quoted for conservatory cleans, there just isn't the money there! Sure they have the nice car on the drive but it's all on tick. Our town had its welcome sign defaced recently so it read "Wecome to Poland". I'm beginning to think commercial work is the best way forward.
