Rabby, I think you have taken on board too many nationlist rants, its not as bad as you make out. The Barnnett formula ensures that more money is spent per head in Scotland than in many regions of England, especially when the Tories are in power.
I have family in Clackmananshire and when I'm up there I'm amazed at the facilities even the smallest towns have, especially leisure centres and childrens playgrounds.
Here in Newcastle where I live we have 2 parks with a couple of crap swings, and graffitied slide etc.
You also have free university education, prescriptions I believe and access to drugs we can't get down here.
You live in a beautiful country which I have spent many years in. Unfortunately over this last few years I have noticed a marked anti English attitude from many Scots.
I blame Braveheart  :)

Anyway don't blame us all, the population of Tyneside is 1/3 Scottish, 1/3 Irish and god knows where the others came from.

Will,

I bet you have been doing this job longer than me. Lets just kiss (metephorically) and make up. God status is only based on number of posts (as you well know) so you obviously speak your mind in the way it comes to you immediatley and now I know how you communicate I won't be offended.

All the best
Pete
