The short answer is No !
But I cleaned perfectly successfully for years with 100 psi,  and a lot less in the early days!

I now use 135 psi which is a definite improvement, but will certainly upgrade to a higher pressure when this pump gives up the ghost.

The jets of course should be balanced to pump pressure, so may need changing to suit.

My pump is varable pressure

I have not had it down to 100 psi for carpet cleaning.

I just run it flat out.

Ivar;

The actual cleaning performance of 100 psi will depend more on the "flow" than anything else.

For example, anyone could acheive 100 psi; but what is coming out of the nozzle (pump capability) in terms of water flow?

 A 100 psi pump producing .03GPM is much different than  the same PSI rated pump producing .08 GPM. A big difference in cleaning speed and breaking down surface tension.  ;)

Those are my thoughts.
