Just to add my comment. I used a fishing pole for domestics for 7 months this year. It was really light and rigid. It broke, several times. But it wasn't super strong. However, I think I'm much quicker on domestics with my 24ft hybrid. But higher than 3 storey I would without a doubt get a superlight 2.

For two storeys its too much of a faff.

I've been watching this post with interest
I currently use an 18ft 3 section ally unger pole that I diy'd into wfp and a dreaded 39 ft gf universal with vikan! its a beast and leaves me with arms like popeye! ;D Cost of the superlight is the factor for me as my business is small but growing all the time. I probably get away without using "the beast" for 60% of my work but it does take its toll on my body and motivation. I'm looking forward to others comments on the superlight in the coming weeks, as to ease of use and durability. I know Alex says it may not be suited to all day domestic but for that money I'd need it to be the one pole that does all up to 40 ft.
If anyone in Sussex is taking order of one in the next few weeks , let me know, I'd like to come over and see for myself what ya all raving about ;)

i have the superlite 1 version and think its great but you do have to treat it with care ,i would definately be buying the super lite 2 but now i hear there is a telescopic version on trial i will wait for this . How long do you think it will be before your selling these alex.
better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove any doubt

the sl-x is not a replacement for the superlight, I thibk it will only go up to 25 or 35ft, Luke

Cybersy, If you get your hands on a Supelight you won't believe just how light and easy they are. You'l never ever want to touch a glassfibre extending monster pole ever again - even one of twenty four feet. No more shaking arms, no more whopping great bend in the pole whilst reaching over conservatories. You can even clean one handed when near vertical! I have a Superlight 1 but it had two major drawbacks ie. it's expensive and frighteningly fragile but my breakages have never happened whilst cleaning. Hopefully the Superlight 2 has sorted this out I'll be the first to complain if it dosen't live up to the hype. :)

Hi Trevor

Luke is right. At the moment the telescopic Super-Lite (SL-X) is only going to go up to a maximum of 30 ft.  We feel that this will compliment the modular Super-Lite perfectly.  Unfortunately, going higher than 30 ft with a telescopic pole is never going to be as stiff or as light as a Super-Lite which is why we have stuck with the Super-Lite project.

There is a possibility in the future, once the SL-X is established, that we may build a limited run of high level telescopic versions (45-60ft).  This will not be because we think they are the better option, but because there will always be those that want a telescopic pole even at that height and despite their inherent disadvantages.

By the way Trevor, you do qualify as a previous customer for the Super-Lite1 upgrade price.  Check it out on our website.  It is quite a large saving.

If everyone is upgrading to the super lite 2 does that mean you are all selling your original poles  ;D
as i am now looking for a longer pole than my 34ft facelift and dont have the spare money to spend buying another brand new pole
tight!! i know ;)

Hi Luke

It's sorted.  But we will be offering all purchasers of the Super-Lite2 a heavily discounted upgrade to the new brush when it comes out.
