Once you get the hang of it, and you get upto speed, you will need to take on at least a third more work.

Unless your price's are already low, there is no need for a price increase, because you will be doing them much faster than you were trad.

keep them on the same time scale you do now.

a clean or 2 before you change over, switch to GG3 and pure water in our bucket, its s.posed to help

the clean before you switch, wipe the frames with your cill cloth

woops i have been saying to customers there price is doubling and will be doing them less often (did say that it is not set in stone but all seemed happy to pay more and 99% of my prices are not in anyway low 1% makes very nice bacon and egg sandwich

Wow! If they are happy with the price being doubled with you cleaning half as much i would stick with that. Double the money for half the work sounds fantastic.
You could always fill in the gaps with more work.
I was never quick trad but i used to work at £16 - £20 p/h. Most standard houses now take 1/2 the time wfp and large houses, vicarages, rectories etc are now done in 1/4 of the time.

GG3 is a cleaning liquid, you can buy it at any good stockist, ave used it in the past and when cleaning windows and is meant to not streak, when you put it in your water it does not leave bubbles (which did my head in) loads of peopl ehave said the same thing about gg3 so it must work when swopping over.

Thanks for the GG3 info.

After thirty years you can get stuck in a rut. I've only recently discovered how good microfibre cloths are after joining this forum. The've made some of my leaded work a real pleasure to do, though I shall be going WFP very soon.

30 years well done  this may put a spanner in the works, do you have a website yet?
by the way gg3 stands for glass gleam 3 there is also a mark 4 on this item from feedback 3 is the better one

GG3 is for soft water & GG4 is for hard water.

ok well lost now as will anyone reading this post changing from trad to wfp.

I myself think i live in a hard water area (do not know as it comes out of the tap and does not say i'm hard) But i live in cambidge and from what i can gather it is a hard water area.

I have been always told gg3 is the best, now i am well confused, what is better for the change over (i am so glad i did not order that a min ago before checking back on here)
gg3 gg4 (is there a gg5?)

No I don't. I've never really felt the need for one. Though that could change of course.
For many years I've had all the work I need and to date my round has been self sustaining (word of mouth, referals etc). I don't want to overload myself with work I can't handle.

I told them all I was making the switch and all bar one were up for it. The remaining one needs to experience the result before we win her over as all she can see is the water being left. You can't seem to get some of them past the fact that the water doesn't stay there.

makes me laugh that they worry about a little water we are in the UK have they forgotton the wet weather we have had. the sky drops more than we do
