Hi SteveKennedy,
The Super-Lites are the stiffest poles on the market, due to the exceptionally hi-modulus carbon fibre and the taper joint design. Manoeuvring a 60ft between windows is always going to be a tricky task. We would recommend that when using a Super-Lite in excess of 45ft, that it becomes a 2 man job (1 to move hose and to help with section removal/fitting). However, many Super-Lite users disagree and quite happily use them with just one person.
Raising the pole is very simple (especially when compared to 8ft sectioned telescopic poles). You can assemble it up to 40ft on the ground (see video clip below) and then lift it up. Once upright you simply lean the pole against the building and add any extra sections you need.

Hi Pdh,
Yes, most of the pole is made by Maver with the exception of the 'unique to us' top section. We decided to go with one of the more expensive manufacturers as the quality of the pole is very good. We have compared the Maver poles with the MAP F16 (which is a very popular pole with the 'DIY' pole fraternity, due to it's good value), but there is no comparison in it's rigidity. The Maver's are much stiffer and hence easier to use. You could buy the bits to make most of a 'Super-Lite' direct from a fishing retailer but even at discounted prices they would still cost £470 for just the pole sections for an SL-35 without the gooseneck, hose, brush, insulation, adjustable bung, joint treatment, 'joint-stops', strengthened top section and instruction manual.
We have found with carbon fibre fishing poles, you do get what you pay for.
