well as most of you may be aware,
euro 2004 football coming this weekend , great for some , not for others i guess :-/
Any way as an avid fan of football in general thought
i would buy a couple of those flags everybody seems to be displaying form their cars and vans
got home flags flying from my van!!!!
straight away , mrs says "you can take those things off, your not turning up at customers houses looking like a football hooligan"  apparently not very proffesional ,
so did as i was told  
so my question is. How many of you think is unproffesional?, How many are displaying , or will be ?,
how many couldnt care less? no doubt, all the rest of our
uk freinds, scotland, wales and  n, ireland, might respond to that part  
any way please tell me your thoughts either way
i was only been patriotic and now feel, well left out  :-/

I have one on my van and one on the car and, I am told,  I look like a football hooligan

No one has made any comment other than to talk about the up coming games.

Although I hear today that some police forces are asking some drivers to remove them as they might be upsetting to some of the community. :-/

I have small neoprene flag that fits over aerial (Halfords), quite discreet.
Got two St. George headrests arriving any day now but wife says they cannot go in back off the car so they will go into van as well.
Customer could not see any of these unless i park on the driveway facing the house

I have absolutely no interest in football, but as Englishmen, gentlemen, you have a prefect right to fly your national flag - for whatever reason.

If sections of the community are offended by this, I would sugest that maybe they are living in the wrong country.

I am not a racist, but do believe that anyone who chooses to live in whatever country should conform to the customs and practices of that country. Enrichment of culture is one thing, subversion is something else again.

I wouldnt fly them myself- however if the Police ask local  people not to fly them -I will buy some and fly them out of principle.

Why is it that the English are the only nation that are 'not allowed' to have a pride in their flag...

..come to that it would seem that we can't even be proud of our own Country/Heritage/History any more for fear of offending 'others'

I'm also a football fanatic and patriotic but those flags on cars and vans are a joke.They look bloody ridiculous let alone unprofessional.I'll be shouting the boys on all the way but i'll draw the line at flags drapping all over my vehicles.

I do agree with you...If I want to fly the flag I would have a flag pole....!

Incidentally the Police are not too happy as it appears a great many of the vehicle flags are flying off whilst the vehicle is moving and it may present a hazard to others

I have to admit I may support Millwall in principle I’m not a fan of football boring.

Having a flag pole is one thing flying St Georges or the union flag is another, if you don’t conform, take it down look at local bylaws other wise you are nicked. Once again the police are on the roll to be PC, forget the pun what happened during the world cup same XXX our political system be it national but mainly local, always wants endogenous population to cattail to popular demand there’s! Try this in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, probably the most nationalistic within the UK.

Do we English celebrated St Georges day are we allowed too as such is it a bank holiday no!! Even Ken Livingston thinks it’s a waste of time! He would prefer to spend 3mil on a fire work display which no one saw, cant wait till I see him support a gay museum!

Some may think I’m a racist so be it but you don’t know me freedom of speech etc that includes the English.

Hope big brothers reading this and report me, I have full disclosure on this site, may have marked my cards stating Millwall haven’t been to any of there games since I was knee-high to a grasshopper.

Its nice to see that we have taken our national flag away from the NF/BNP. over the last few weeks, i have seen loads of flags flying from car and sides of houses. no longer is it totaly related to those rasist scum.I know some wont like this, but i wish we were more like the yanks and fly our flags more often. show some pride in our great nation. .The flag is for england, not some combat18 propoganda.
