What Gloves Are The Best

Last year used animal gloves, but knackered (split) after one winter.

got some sealsink's last year absolute pants split and tore within
aweek use asdas cheapo rubber gloves keeps hands dry which is half the battle hands warm up after half an hour

Hi All

We started to use thermal work gloves, they are the same as the builders orange ones but come in grey.

They have rubber coated fingers so are dry for pole work, you have a second pair for trad. that i cut the fingers off leaving some some rubber. The best thing is they are about £2.00 a pair so you keep spare on the van.

I have been doing window cleaning 19 years & dont like wearing gloves, the most i would wear was wool fingerless, & worked through the winters.

I use gardening gloves they are coated in grippy rubber so i can still grip my squeegee and my wfp pole!!

I use Suregrip gloves. they are a crickly rubber finnish, flock lined, blue in colour.
I bought 10 pairs today for £23.
I have used these for the last 3 years. Good for pole or trad. Check your local janitorial suppliers.

I use GUL marine gloves full-fingered summer weight in the summer and their neoprene full-fingered for colder weather. Relatively cheap light to wear and hard-wearing.

I was told to try these waterproof and thermal, neoprene gloves @ Argos £8.99 by a local WC who recommended them, but only got a pair yesterday so I cant comment as yet, time will tell!

John do they have fold back finger panels ? Its difficult to see from the pic.

Ungers for three years but forefinger and thumb wore into holes too quickly.
This year sealskins and wrap duct tape around "wear points" to increase longevity.

Jeff , they are fishermans gloves, thumb and 1st finger of gloves velcro back(small slot to insert finger/thumb)

Hi Paul

im thinking of ordering some omnigloves, which have you ordered large or extra large?

When are you expecting delivery because when i phoned they said they wouldnt have any in til next week

let us know how you get on with them

does anyone who uses omnigloves know which size to order large or extra large as gloves can be tricky to judge the size you need

Hi Brett

Well i was not sure what size so i went for the extra large
As i have extra large on the unger Neoprolene gloves.
And if there to big i will wear some fingerless gloves underneath.

They have a new stock in monday so should get mine during the week.
But whether they stay in stock as quite a few including myself have already bought them before they got them in.

If there the wrong size they said just let them know and they will sort it out.

I tried these last year.....completey usless after 3 days where the fingers flip over in the cold the hole splits and splits and splits till its right down to the knuckle...

There are a few other makes with the peel back tips, I just had a thought ! anyone tried using neoprene glue to close them up for good ?
