Cup a Soup Time again
« on: October 30, 2025, 11:21:45 am »
Well, its this time of year when I stock up with cup a soup varieties from Amazon. You can buy 24 sachets for less than a pound a pop. Great for the guys who work a full day and have a flask or a van kettle. I just saw Makita now sell a battery kettle which holds 0.8 litre but not sure how long it takes.

It would most likely take about 30 minuets  to get hot enough

Other dances are available.

And note to Scottish!

A pound a pop?!?!

Go to Aldi and get 4 for 65p.
It's a game of three halves!

A decent flask should keep stuff warm for at least 4 hours if not longer.......

Never have got my head around drinking soup from a cup. It should be in a bowl with a proper soup spoon, and only consumed when your not feeling well  :).

Why the hell would you buy processed rubbish like cup a soups? Much better to buy fresh soup from your local supermarket. The pea and ham or chilli bean soups are my favourite. I take them to work  in my food flask in winter (usually with a round of sour dough bread)
price higher/work harder!

I was a half dozen diet coke guy but ended up high blood sugar and high cholesterol. Managed to change to water and changed my diet to low fat. Saved a few bob and feel better for it. I like that idea of a food flask which is next on my list.

Bought a food flask yesterday, it will be good for my big soup. Also, got my Christmas presents sorted because I have some relatives who work in the building trade industry. 👍

Just bought Bovril Cups Beefy Drinks 6 Cup Sleeve x 6 Packs on Amazon for £13. Will listen to old firm game and have one at half time to reminisce about my football past. 😉
