I've just reinsured my two Rangers with Gladiator for £417 total.

It's a big jump over last year from £360 but they originally wanted £474!

Bizarrely, I've just tried to get a car insurance quote with them and it's £200 more than my existing renewal!

I was going to do a William Tell reference but thought better of it...

Initially:

FORD RANGER - 1    £227.99
FORD RANGER - 2   £246.97

Total: £474.96

But dropped to £417 with a £57 discount applied - so around £190 and £227 each.

My car insurance renewal is around £230 which is £50 up on last year but £200 less than Gladiator wanted.

I think a trip to Confused or The Meerkats may be in order.

Never ever stay with the same vehicle insurance company year on year....you ll always get it cheaper elsewhere.3 weeks before renewal is ideal.itll take 30 mins of your time....I saved £140 this year AND got breakdown with home start included....👍

Carrying a tank is not a modification.

Vans are for carrying stuff.

Good luck with that then give Nikki a call at A Plan see what she reckons tell her that you’ve got a tank which is bolted in 24/7 for daily use,also ask her what’s the score with a tank strapped in with ratchet straps.
I reckon there’s 1000s upon 1000s of people not properly declaring what they do and what they carrry ie contract cleaner etc,you have a half serious accident that the police or fire attend you will be in the poo 💩.

If aplan treat water tanks as a modification (and I suspect charge extra for it) that's up to them. I won't insure anything with them though.

They may well be cheaper than my insurance, who knows.

I’ve been with them for five years now simply because I can’t find anyone that offers the same degree of cover for less.
