Very disappointed with my from new Transporter 67 plate. has 30000miles from new. BLACK.
Break pads went after 18K
door hinge broken
lights in van very dim, don't always work
side door sometimes does not open, especially in Winter.
door rubber cills broken after 8 months.
driver seat just ripping apparently its fair wear and tear.( I have never had fabric wear out that quickly).
EGR valve and two glow plugs, These are very common to blow.
Paintwork seems to mark really easily.
Almost finished second set of new quality tyres.
I am very careful with the van as its a leased, I am hoping the I can make some money back when I have to sell it due to the current climate and van prices
It does drive very well though

ive had my ford connect  L2 240 from new(coming up to 5 years old this jan)only had to replace front tyres up to now....drives really well.......

vw transporters are well overpriced for what they are(although i do like my new golf GTD...its superb!).....

you cant go wrong buying a ford van IMO
price higher/work harder!

Have ford sorted out the rust these days. Last Ford I had back in 1993 (escort) still rusted on the wheel arches same as my 1974 mk1 escort did!

funnily enough i still see the odd ford escort van about....they must be 18-20 years old now! :o ;D

no rust on my van but its not even 5 years old yet.....i fully expect to get another 10 years out of it before i get an electric van.....

My last escort was just over 3 years old when both arches stated to bubble! Ford said it was stone chips, funny as bonnet was covered in them but no bubbles.
Good to hear your van is doing well.

Ive been driving round in a 2006 trafic since april. Been great so far, ive had much newer vehicles before and i keep looking but with the daft prices that are about at the moment i just cant bring myself to spend 10 grand on something thats done 100k miles.

I really wish i hadnt sold my truck, i cant find another that isnt 3 grand over what i sold mine for but i keep looking the odd bargain does pop up but you need to be very fast.

Mine is not on your list.

Had it for nearly ten years from new. Super reliable as it should be.

Available in the UK from 2009 to 2020.

343nm torque, rear wheel drive, good turning circle, 2500cc, 1089kg payload, cam chain (no belt to replace)

Perfect for 650L system and me.

High spec when launched in 2009.

Mediocre spec now but feels bullet proof.
I’ve re-read this three times now & still can’t see what it is🤔😂
