Gardiner Quick-LoQ best fix YET..
« on: August 03, 2019, 08:55:19 am »
Here you have best/easy fix ever for your Gardiner Quick-LoQ and / or Wiel-LoC
Be able to insert IN/OUT with ease.
Will show how it was done in minutes just using wood rasp file.
Also how to fine tune, making insertion easier without pressing pin in to attach onto your cleaning tools.
Lastly for the people that use the Wiel-LoC how we converted the angle adapter from 2 pin connection to easier 1 pin connection. For ease to put cleaning tools OFF/ON.

Can’t see Gardiners being impressed with that title. Particularly as theirs don’t need fixing.
Sounds like the Australian version is crap, even their cricketers resort to sandpaper!

OK first of all the ones that we used about 7 years ago (Prototype).
Worked ok no problems.
Although at the time did say that it would of been good to put a small notch in the female part like in this video we did at the time. 7/4/2013     1 QUICK-LOQ 30  SECOND FINE TUNE. https://youtu.be/giH5VGFTziY
But it appears that over the years the moulds may of shrunk causing the newer ones being tight fitting or getting stuck.
And the Australian version is the same as the UK one just bigger.

Yes but always hear people whining on this group they jam on or put ON/OFF.
Some say use sand paper it but they never show how it's done so we showed how we did it.
We put the video only for the people that do have this problem.
Here is another video from one of your blokes in the UK did. (Mark Munro)
To solve the problem this was about 5 years ago.
So it was already an issue then. https://youtu.be/ibKoVBS-xtM

If Australian cricketers know how to use sandpaper then I think you can rest assured that the members of this forum do too.

However I believe Gardiners addressed this issue years ago .

Furthermore it seems to me that your posts have gone from being perceived as useful to humorous/useful to irritating/humorous/useful.
It's a game of three halves!

OK that's good sorted the sticking jamming issue.
However doing this makes life easier also when inserting into your brushes.
This explained in the video in case you have not looked at it yet.

In that case you’ll be patenting this being 5 years ahead.

I love the bit where you say now use 2 washers on the pin because the wall thickness is too thin ( hmm is that where you filed it by any chance ?

Love it h-man - how to destroy a perfectly good piece of kit in five minutes   ;D

As said (and I know you won’t listen) gardeners have addressed the tight fitting sockets - there maybe the odd old one about but generally this is no longer an issue

It's not another Univalve moment, but I think the easy fit/click mod is pretty good. Just done it to all three of my brushes and another Qloc tool adapter with a Dremel. I did the other mod with sandpaper a few years back though and I've never had any sticking problems since.

Thanks for the tip H MAN, it will make swapping out my brushes / tools a little easier from now on.

Looks like a proper bought one ;) :)
Thanks for at least trying it.
Regarding sanding or in our case we use a wood rasp file.
We only did half from the end.
Not like in that other video where they did the whole QL.
Know it's only  for your brushes and most people do not swap them out all the time.
But there some people that use QL on other cleaning tools where they swap out tools many times in one day.
So this will make it even easier to change the tools.
