Lee what is your customer retention rate?

I know you like to blag everywhere how many customers you pick up, but how many stick with you? Roughly how many customers do you lose a week/month?

Just curious really as these numbers are just as important as how many customers your picking up.

What sort of quality control do you have in place?
Do you regularly go out with your workers to make sure they are maintaining standards?

Question Chris.

Why is sharing the weekly stats which  I worked extremely hard for and that I'm proud of blaging?

Oh ok so it's not blagging. My mistake.
It's informative information that is of great benefit to all shiners on this forum.
Everyone here is just itching to know how many customers Lee Pryor picked up this week.

I don't want to get into silly arguments with you Lee as I promised I would play nice a while ago. I was just asking a question, which if you had given a straight answer would have been more useful to everyone here then how many customers you picked up.

I think your just one of those people chris who either doesnt like to see people doing well or feels threatend by them/jelous of them. Bitter and generally unkind comments like yours indicate that. You attack what you dont understand.  The fact is there are people who want to hear about the progress and get updated. So your sarcasm is just making you look stupid.

Chris im really sorry me building my business the way that I want to and sharing that experience on here offends you.

Lee i asked you some serious questions, that's all.
You don't offend me, I don't care how big your business is, how many vans you have. I have said it before and I'll say it again, ANYONE can do the same if they really want.
I understand exactly what it takes to build a successful business, what I don't understand is how you maintain standards when it grows to that size.
That is the number 1 reason I have never grown, because I'm too proud and to much of a perfectionist to let others loose on my work.

So tell me Lee, why is it you are happy to share how many customers you pick up but will not share details on quality control??

Ok maybe implying that he was bragging would seem that I'm after blood, but common how else can his self righteous posts be perceived?

What, and you're the hero here to help point out the fact that he's a prat are you?

I couldn't care less what the bloke posts if I'm honest, if he needs his balls tickling every so often then that's his insecurities; but you cant have a dig at someone and then say "I was just asking a question..."

The question was just something to back up your point, either have the balls to stick with your convictions or just let it go...its the internet my friend

I'm trying to be as polite as possible to him, it's very difficult though.
Every time I speak to the guy he implies that I'm jealous or offended by him, which offends me that he actually thinks that. It just shows how self righteous he is that he "thinks" most people are jealous of him.

Quality control is hard in any business, especially when you let go of the reins but to be honest at some point you have to recognise that people will never do it as well as you,  but can they do it to an acceptable level over a duration of time,.i believe that they can

we all have bad days We often read on here about bad customers, but if we're truly honest often we can make mistakes, my hands up sometimes I just want to go home or do something else that's on my mind and standards can slip

I would also be interested in how peopke handle quality control
I know  you can  have pay insetive , no complaints with growth dictates good quality - give bonus
You can track staff movements, build in timeing even pop dash cam rear and forward faceing you can have live feeds even watching how they work

But I too would be interested how some who rum mulitple vans handle this area of a business and would find there comments really healpful in keeping my business moving in the right direction

Chris I don't discuss the processes that run my business on the forum. Growth and how it's going are one thing but not all the fine points that make my business what it is.

Hey if anyone can do it then it can't be that hard for you to work out.

Another question for you. If anyone can do it then why has know one done it? It's easy isn't it?

I can tell you right now that anyone certainly could not do it. Getting to 2 or 3 vans is fairly easy if you want to and there are lots of those about.  I can assure you that beyond that it's a whole different ball game.

Quality control is not a process that runs your business, it is a bi product of running such a large business.
So you can't discuss this but you can discuss revenue, customer numbers and show videos of your vans/offices etc.
Smells fishy to me.

It's up to me as it is anyone to decide what they do or don't want to discuss on here. My choice not yours.

Really doesn't matter what you think it smells like Chris. What does that even mean anyway? Just another ignorant comment isn't it. Does it mean you think I am a liar? Or something like that?

Ive had numerous different opinions on the attitude of lee and of peoples attitude of lee over a period of time.
Conclusion is varied.

Weve all admitted over time what our end game is; some is to simply provide a giod live with their family. Others to have employees and still others to have a number of vans and lees is to take over the world (lol, harmless banter here)! Regardless of whats involved in achieving their goals if they are achieved than each have comitted and completed 100% to do so!!
It doesnt take anyone special to do one or the other and so yes, anyone can do so but the queation is, does everybody want too?!
It simply striving to achieve their goals.

Why not boast a little at ones achievements as some achievements are harder than others to achieve and professional courtesy in respect of that can be a nice thing.

But the old age principle of "if have nothing worth while to say than say nothing at all" surely applies. If someone wants to sing own praise, why not? But why some feel they need to strip someone of their personal achievement, i dont fully understand. Just simply say nothing (which can be more powerful than saything something)

Nice one Lee. How do you sort out vat invoices? We've just started and it's a pain in the arse printing them all off. We're printing duplicates (off aworka), keeping one for ourselves and taking one to each job to deliver to the customer.
What do you do?
Cheers.

Quality control can be a spanner in the works when you have a schedule to manage which a lot of people are relying on (people who's wages you pay). Sometimes it's easier or more efficient to dispense with the customer and just keep moving forward regardless of the consequences ($hite reviews).

Why lose an hour out of your day sorting out a £25.00 house which was already cleaned three days ago when in the time it takes to travel there and resolve the issue you could've cleaned a £50.00 house and be well into that part of the round you've got designated for that particular day.

Recommendations are a decent way to pick up more work. If you leaflet enough losses will be covered that way.

Lee, what's your businesses angle on commercial work. A big swerve or you consider it?
