Great week for new customers
« on: August 05, 2017, 12:54:08 pm »
Ah I cant resist.

87 new this week, thats on cleaner planner, with about 20 still to reach with call backs. 37 of those were yesterday, which was getting close to our best ever day which was 47 last year.

70 new last week. Hope to have over the magic 100 next week.

Also having a lot of success with cleaning package deals with new customers. As in setting them up something like this, windows every 6 weeks, con roof every second or third clean, gutters and fascias yearly ect. One guy I got yestderday went for the full package. His house is now worth £900 a year to us.

I have to say im really buzzing right now. Watching the numbers roll and the hard work/risk paying off is great.

Come on then everyone............... Hate me for it lol x

Think my head would explode mate.

How long will it take you to get them all first cleaned?

How many people have you got working for you?

Its easy when you have enough staff and technology to do it all mate. We now have 9 cleaners, 1 in each van and 3 of us in the office. We can easily cope with 100 new customers a week. The biggest pain is inputting the data on the system, it takes hours! Again though its easy when 3 of you are doing it.

Brilliant. Inspiring stuff.

Hoping to go a similar route.

But my best r.o.i I've found is paying canvassers. Although that is far from cheap also.

How much on average would say 100 customers costs you in leaflets lee?

Lee what is your customer retention rate?

I know you like to blag everywhere how many customers you pick up, but how many stick with you? Roughly how many customers do you lose a week/month?

Just curious really as these numbers are just as important as how many customers your picking up.

What sort of quality control do you have in place?
Do you regularly go out with your workers to make sure they are maintaining standards?

The Google, yell.com and Thomson Local reviews don't make great reading 😬

Oh I don't know. 10-15 from 4500 customers or 40,000 cleans a year. Not bad.

We retain about 70% of all we get. We probably drop 10-15% of that ourselves due to messers

Yes of course we have controls/processes in place for quality control. I won't be discussing them on here.

Question Chris.

Why is sharing the weekly stats which  I worked extremely hard for and that I'm proud of blaging?

Nice one, I don't know which impresses me more:
1. The amount of new custies you're getting or
2. The systems you have in place to deal with such growth.
Keep up the good work.  ;D

So, you have ten vans out on the round, each pulling in £350 every day, five days a week, 46 weeks a year?

Thats not what I said now is it.

"When" we are full we will have 11 vans out. Our vans do 6-6.5K a month each. That is also very consistant.

Just checking my reports stats page on cleaner planner

Average turnover per van. So thats our total monthly turnover didvided by the number of vans out.

May ££6,255.14 per van
June £6,512.14 per van
July £6,001.00 per van

So then we can work out that quarter average which is £6,256.00 from that we can predict that if we had 11 vans doing the same that would be a monthly turnover of £68,816 X12 months gives us an anual turnover of £825,792.00

And there we have it based on real facts and current data. I need 1500 more customers to reach that goal. 500 of which I plan to have by the end of September. The rest by end of June next year.

Hi lee

I enjoy the updates. It's helps me to be motivated to keep proactive in what I do also gives me idea how to keep a steady flow of customers coming in which I've always been lazy in doing

I'm just not sure yet about going forward over the VAT limit did it once but I was younger less firm with people who worked for me, but I know if I want multiple vans on the road I have to go backwards finacailly to go forward initially and constant advertising costs and you need good organizational skills in the office

Sadly VAT is part of any business that wants to move forward. I find that with our claim backs we never actually pay 20%. More like 12-13%

If your business model stacks up VAT should not be a problem. Its simply something you are not currently used to paying.

Time to sit down with your spreadsheet and calculator. Tip - build your model around a worst case scenario not best or average.
