When i first got my equipment from purefreedom i ordered the valve taps then. But pure freedom mount them to the pole which means you have your main microbore hose connected to a pole hose that goes to one side of the valve tap and finally a pole hose that goes from the other side of the tap, up the pole and to the brush. It was a right mess of hoses all over the place, which got ne to trying different methods which much be a whole lot easier and I came up with this. Never tripped once

It was just that big loop that did my head in , i was always falling over it , i even fabricated  a trigger device a few years ago that did away with the loop , the dapter was out which i didnt want on the end of the pole , then came the Univalve , even that took me a year to get , but it is by far i think the best solution , alongside tubeless of course .
Im gonna see if i can find the vid of the trigger i did , i fancy a laugh !

I've always found wrapping the hose round my neck and walking away helpful.

does having the reel in the middle of your van floor mean you need both van doors open when reeling out?mines to the left hand side so i can shut the right back door.

That is almost my set up Nathan. I've used a holster plus tap like you for ten years. Last year I put 50 metres of green pole hose on my reel too. My reel is slightly to the right so I can close the left hand door if I like.

I use a hose roller on a swinging arm out of the side door, but nothing out the back. If I need to take the reel out (claber hand reel) I unclip it and put it on the floor.
It's a game of three halves!

still no need.i can go 90degrees too without a hose roller.i found that it hampered my reeling in so i took mine off.

Similar to yourself Nathan,  that said it does look a lot easier when there's no trampolines, wheelie bins, flower pots, patio
furniture, barbeques, kids toys scooters and bikes, decking, down spouts and nosey pensioners to snag the hose on.

Your videos are coming up in my youtube suggestions list now, saw it before coming onto this forum  ;D

Great video very informative keep up the good work.  Quick question, what is the thing around your belt which you hook hose onto?  I've wanted something like this for ages but not got round to it, hate dragging rectus fitting along the floor gets damaged and broken so easily i need some of those loop things of yours that keep it in place, where did you get yours from?

I dont think the camera picked me up on explanation of clothing. Due to not letting the rain stop me from working, im off work till next week now and i just finished fitting the flowmaster digi controller and so obviously not in work gear.

I can get away with shutting the passenger rear side van door when reeling out but my brush is in the guttering behind that door and so im used to just opening both doors when i jump out van, lol it may cost me 10 seconds but hey ho  ;D

Ive tried all sorts of methods including rock climbing equipment to use as a hinge or loop aid etc etc but nothing was overly ideal. Then one i put my bucket on belt (pulex) onto this belt dor an inside job and then left the clip on the belt and I found it to be the perfect requirement, light and effective.

As you were walking away from your van, you looked like a criminal in an American chain gang.

I try to keep a good work/life balance, I certainly wouldn't want to be tied to my job.

Great idea that electric reel and tying yourself to your hose. Must save alot of energy being able to lie down and reel yourself back to your van.

Is the real reason you tie yourself to your van so know one can nick it. With that belly you make a great ⚓.

At least you don't need a tracker on the van. If someone does manage to steal it you won't be far behind.

Sorry couldn't resist....

The loop and clip i can see from the video which you use to loop hose around, but whats the thing on the left hand side of you, that you use to initially clip over, is that some sort of holster?  I think i'll do the same and get both to keep the hose firmly around me saves bending over all the time to pick up rectus inbetween each window!  All these little things no doubt make big differences over an entire day.

I believe so. Some have commented about the weight of the hose on them, but they must be skinny weaklings  ::)roll
They should have felt the weight of my trad belt, 2 pouches plus money pouch and bucket on belt with a wet mop n squeegee in. Never mind 2 folded scrims and a working scrim in one pouch and a spray bottle n wet rag in the other!!

Anyway, back on track  ::)roll
Before i tried this method i tried many of the other methods, ie the protector disc from pure freedom or the tennis ball stuck on etc but still the rectus fitting would shoot out when your dragging the hose on the floor etc. Or like you said, picking up the hose etc. This method is by far the easiest and it dangles behind you, so not really a trip hazard for you. Especially if "you are aware of your surroundings Bruce" (sorry couldnt resist a great quote from a film).

You can get them from ebay or also purefreedom;
