I remember a good 5 or 6 years ago poss more I did once suggest 'why don't we use pole hose' for everything and the idea being dismissed point blank by suppliers and users here
for many reasons including lack of flow/pressure, pump damage and other possible reasons. I took that advice but looking back should have at least 'tried'.
Even micro & minibore can be a real PITA when new...hey look at the first slx poles.... wow the wear rate on those was quick compared to the awesome product it is now. Even the 27ft glass-fibre poles with Vikan truck washing brushes (see pic) were the 'cats whiskers' once...if only we knew then what we know now
Which is why this forum is great.... You make suggestions, try things, take someones 'try' modify it to work for you or not..... You may well be right about the 100meters but the one thing we all know here is taking others peoples word here as fact can sometimes be an error.... I like to fettle...so this'll add a little spice to the hum-drum and hey like others have said if the 'Blue' doesn't workout....hey I have a shed of pole hose and will throw the 'Yellow Peril' back on the reel.
im done with faffing about now dave.i cant be bothered messing about.a simple system is king for me.
new van,500L tank and frame, quality fixed reel and 100m microbore, pumpbox, backpack and carbon poles with univalve.
thats it
NO baffle balls,no immersion heater,no electric reel,no solar panels on van roof,no bilge pump for filling backpack etc.
plus all my gear(including tank and frame)can be removed very easily as its bolted down with angle iron to the eyelet holes.(as ill be getting a brand new van every 5 years now).
good,simple ,tried and tested equipment.
image is very important to me now(as in nice signwritten van and quality logod workwear).i think it helps with commanding higher prices plus i work some very affluent areas.it helps me stand out and comes across as being more professional.
