I was hoping to find something to slate yiu for.

But actually it's a very tidy little setup. It puts mine to shame.

The only thing I disagree with is 40-50 tds being high. That's beyond high!  I wouldon't work with 004 either that's high to me.

Yep, on hind sight that might not be the best thing i could have said. My basic understanding is that a tds of less than 50 supposedly is invisible to the eye. But I agree that is taking it to the extreme.

n thanks 👍

I like the idea of a rear view mirror in the back of the van.

I nearly tripped a lady over recently when reeling in the hose!

if it works for you nathan then fair play.

my van set up is a lot neater and simpler but each to their own.

i dont like van magnets(they look cheap IMO)i much prefer large plain sign writing with colour logo.ive had some before though years ago.balls in the tank, hot water, solar panels on roof, electric reel, brushes with too many jets and extra battery all just faff and not needed IMO.i also dont like the ratchet straps, when i had them they were twice as thick and blue(5 ton ones i think)i much prefer a crash tested tank frame.

i also use my side door space for storing my cloths/trad gear/chemicals etc and door cards on the back doors for spare brushes and BOAB.
price higher/work harder!

When you took the lid off I thought we were looking at Gwynevere from the National Lottery.

Having made an electric reel the same as nathans, never would i go back to manual wind. Not essential, but having a manual reel is like using a glass fibre pole vs carbon, over the course of the day its more tiring and possibly a bit slower.

This set up suits my needs at the moment.
The van is on a 56plates and not sure how long her life will be. So rather than a fancy new signage on an old van I went with magnets. When I get a new flash van then I will get it nicely painted up.

Solar panels are great for keeping my batteries topped up. Now and again I will give them a full bench charge but not very often at all.  It also means that theres absolutely no need to leave keys in engine if the battery gets flat like some guys do  ;D  ;D

Admittedly I should take the 2nd battery out, been meaning to for last 6mnths but just not got round to it, so its found its lasting place in van.
Ratchet straps......come on it holds what it holds. Be it 2 tonne or 5 tonne, though apparantly bigger n thicker is better 😉

I keep all my chems behind the water tank as well.

But again, each to their own. Im looking forward to the cleaning show in september to see some other vans and peoples setups. Its just great to get some varied ideas

Nice setup which does the job.... everything for a purpose ....

Quick question how many of those playpit balls do you have in the 500l upright? are they the 6cm or 8cm type?  reason I have a 650l and will be re-hashing my van setup for the winter and those balls as baffles seem to make sense.

Cheers Dave.

Ditto with the TDS; it's too high.

I'd also say that if you have a lot of work that requires you to use a trolley, try and replace that work with better work.

Otherwise, very nice and tidy.

It makes my two-man set up look Neanderthal.   ;D

I was thinking something similar.

Lol i store that in the trolley when not in use. Also a cappuccino machine hooked upto the 2nd battery. Also the heat from the tank keeps my bacon/sausage n egg warm wrapped in tin foil on top of the tank!!  😂😂😂

That brush is a joint wrecker and not needed, hot is just something for him to play with, but other than that you cant
fault his set up and enthusiasm.
I do miss the experimental stage that Nathan is still at though as it did remove some of the boredom, he's going to get fleeced by every golden egg seller at the cleaning show. lol.

Added, nothing wrong with the tds.

Agreed, I have a split charger but don't do enough miles for it to be mush use, wouldn't mind adding a solar panel.
