Too right Daz , 12 years ago i started up with a flojet 60 , high on amps and noisy as heck , changed to shurflo 100 and have 2 of them now , 1 is 11 years old and the other is 10 !
Neither of them have had anything new at all , the one in the pics above is in bits as it has a noisy main bearing but still works fine , its just a bit heavy on the amps due to extra friction .
Oh and Johnboy , thinking a bit more about it , if the pumps are runnning just not pumping it points to the diaphagm pretty certain , i dont want to tell you to suck eggs but i think that shurflos are not self priming , the water will need to be raised and not just lifted from a bucket , but i reckon you know that anyway , also even if you run it when dry i think you should hear a rapid puffing from the outlet , not noisy but detectable .
