What do you want ladder mitts on the bottom stiles of your ladder for? If it's to protect an internal floor then use a carpet tile but you'll need it footed to prevent slipping. Best thing to use is a Rojak ladder stopper this will protect the floor and prevent the ladder slipping out also.

The best ladder safety device I've found for ladders (10 rungs or more) is an ankalad stabiliser.
Wasn't wanting anything to protect the floor just wanted something for the feet to help from slipping, I mean ladders only come off once a blue moon, cheers for the replies.that looks OK cookie cheers
