I think the X-line mono is probably the closest you can get to a one brush does all. No need for anything else really - enough bristles and splay to wipe the cills, good enough for leaded windows too.

correct I have used it on anything under 3 floors,it's to much if you go higher but if you have a big run of plate glass windows say highish showroom or office windows it's more than usable,I have gone back to the others just to see if it's no better than the others but it is far better,as said its the best alrounder on sale at the moment.

I have been trying it on Windows and brushing the minimal amount I'm talking a couple of scrubs up and down with a tilt of the brush to rinse on the glass and the results are the same as if you were to scub 5 or 6 times up and down,although it's heavier although not what I'd call a brick on a stick because your not scrubbing like a nutter the weights not really an issue. I used it on a massive old diamond leaded house today and the results were spot on with just a couple of scrubs up and down rinsing on,another thing with it is that it doesn't seem to hold a load of crap in it I can honestly say just a flick across it with your hand after a really dirty job and it's clean again,very good brush well worth the money if they make it lighter they will corner the market brush wise IMO

when i got my first slx   i got a supreme soft hybrid,     this is a great brush,    splay lets you do sills as well without rubbing the brush frame along the sill.
the sides seem to wear out quick,   but still keeps great for regular cleans.
light,
great splay  to keep you from rubbing sills with frame so stops you scraping the sills etc.
CHEAP compared to Xline.
I was going to get a Sill brush from Xline yesterday , but when i seen the price ,   im going to get another soft hybrid from gardiners

Sorry but £10 more for a brush that will do for 1 a much better and quicker job and 2 get you through your work easier,is that really to much to pay. Has anyone ever sat and worked out how much money 1 pole will earn them in a year and then thought blimey £500 lol,if you keep a pole for 2 years and it's more or less trouble free that 500 notes is gonna earn you 2 years money.

These xline brushes sound decent enough for me to try them, in all honesty the gardiner brushes don't have enough bristles on them ...... Am ordering some of these I just hope they not to heavy on the extreme pole

If they don't have enough bristles then how are the people who use them able to use them ? not trying to be rude but that's
what you need to be asking yourself.
Do they get less dirt than you, do they have less bird poo than you do and so on, or is it just  because they don't look like they're able to do the job you have convinced yourself that this is the case.
Like others I started with a heavy brush and now use nothing but an xtreme yet I would be a least 4 times quicker than I was
using the heavier bristle galore brush, is this to do with the brush ? no its to do with my confidence levels I have realised I don't
need a wire brush to clean glass and I don't need to scrub it until my fingers bleed.

No it's doesn't affect the standard of work on the glass but as am looking for a brush head to clean cladding with that is uneven In my opinion the gardiners head that I currently have on my extreme is a sill brush and if you have seen one you will agree compared to the brodex sill brush, which is what I used on the job last time there is a big difference, this does make a difference when getting into grooves on the cladding hence the brush I have on don't help much. Having read other posts about brush heads and now clicked on links please have a look and compare the amount of bristles on the xline brushes compared to the gardiners

Its only meant to be an example similar to using a sledge hammer to crack a nut, but as you don't seem to be able to grasp what I'm getting at then fair enough, forgive me for not realising we where talking about brushes for cleaning cladding as it wasn't on the title of the post.
No I wouldn't recommend  an xtreme for cladding cleaning.

Just at the top of page 2 I asked about it, just back a few posts,

I wasn't putting gardiners brushes down I was comparing them,  I got was you was getting at hence the reason I explained it,  using the extreme for cleaning cladding is perfectly fine, spent a lot of time of the last few weeks cleaning a fair bit of it upto 60 ft ......... Wait al explain how that's a 47' plus 2 x 6ft extentions

I can't fault the pole in any way or the brush head for flat surfaces

Those of us who clean painted frames and painted cills - ever noticed how the brush just won't clean the paintwork? Yet rub your finger over it and the dirt comes off? This is one of the reasons a densely packed brush is so much better like the X-line. If you're only removing dust particles from glass every six weeks then an Xtreme is fine

Now all sit down with a whisky , I am with SeanK on this one Xtreme brush is the way to go why spend £100's on the best lightweight pole such as an SLX or an Xtreme  and make it heavier with a brick of a brush that you don't really need .

If you have a good technique and cleaning glass ,frames and sills then you shouldn't have any issues

Anyone that says Gardiners brushes are the best have never tried the xline.
I love Gardiners , my poles are Gardiners, my ezpure system came from them, backpack even my new hose reel just came from them. I'd say 90% of wfp kit in my van came from Gardiner's.
Personally I just don't think there brushes have even been up to scratch. Good brushes, yes, but not great.
The xline brush is great, the best iv ever used. Its the brush I always wanted Alex to produce!

I have one of them brushes, a bit heavy but scrubs good. I shaved a lot of the stock off to make it a lot lighter with an electric sander

There was a time when I would have agreed with that.

Without a doubt their will be issues with some window/sills types and certain areas developing mostly in some cases , Now 90% of the time i will use an Xtreme  because i am currently seeing a Physio every 2 weeks , But on certain area's i will use a Supreme brush overall its best to have 2-3 brushes for to best deal with all window cleaning jobs .
