The best weather app!
« on: November 09, 2015, 10:14:00 am »
Hi all, just thought I'd share this with you all.
Was getting fed up with iPhone/ bbc weather being inaccurate or just wrong . So iv been looking into other apps and found DARK SKY app - this app gives you info down to the minute when it's going to rain and for how long, which is quite handy on a day like today! It's £2.99 and I never buy apps , so this is a 1st for me. But so far, it hasn't let me down  ;D

Looks good. I take it you are using an Iphone 6 then as it can use the built in barometer for a more accurate local forecast?

I'm actually using the 4s ! ( I don't usually buy new phones until my old one breaks )
And it's pretty damn accurate on this so ,on newer phones, it might work better I'm not sure.
It's hammering down in Lancashire but had about an hour when it stopped, ( it actually says' rain in  12 minutes ) so it helped me plan for that, instead of getting ready for a full day, I just did an hour, then the rain started and I couldn't see looking up lol . It's saying dry tomorrow, so will hopefully catch up abit tomorrow .

As long as it's not too windy and driving rain hitting the glass then most will just crack on using wfp method as will make no different with the finished results when the glass eventualy dries out.

Doing gutter clearing, fsg cleaning, conservatory roofs etc I've found it actual makes the job easier when it’s raining too. Not to mention pressure washing hard surfaces as long as the ground soaks away areas are not sodden so the runoff disappears ok just crack on too..

High winds with or without rain I don't clean
Heavy rain I don't clean.
Tip, stop looking at weather forecasts or apps as you will waste more time using them than you will save.

Being diplomatic is being able to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip.

The free Met office app works well. Everyone gets their weather information from there any ways.
