Exceed blue hose?

Does it fit the push fit valves and jg connectors Gardiners sell? (without the barbed inserts).

The OD is larger than Gardiners hose so you will need barbed inserts .

Bugger!
So that's  one going into the valve, one coming out of the valve and one for the brush head.

Why can't manufacturers make the right hose in the first place - that's eight years now I've been working with utter crap hoses and fittings.

Brand new hose fitted last week - which season does it work in? Maybe I'll try it in the mating season as that's pretty rare.

Hi dave,
What do you need and I will see if I got it?
If I have will send one out F.O.C  :)

Steven.

Hi Dave

You will not need barbed fittings if you use exceed hose, it will push straight in.
But has said earlier don't mind sending you some fittings out.

I just need a really good hose that works  :) Not having a go at anyone in particular just that I can't see why the manufacturers of hose don't make it in the exact diameter to fit push fit valves and JG fittings.
I've tried every Gardiners hose they have produced (in slightly varying diameters) the all season hose for me isn't brilliant - it curls it twists and has a longer memory than I do. It's also prone to pin holes.
Then there was the Aquadapter red and orange hoses which I know some people rate. Again for me - it fits JG and push fit valves brilliantly but I couldn't coil the stuff back up to get it back in the van and it would wrap itself around the pole base section on longer poles.

I have some barbed inserts knocking about but it seems to go against the grain for me to fit three of them to each of the three poles I use and also constrict the flow.

It's blowing a gale and hissing down with rain so I am particularly feisty this morning  >:(

I have to add Smudger is one of the guys I respect on here so if he says your hose is good then it most likely is.

Hi dave,

This is why I promote our tubeless set up has you don't need to have a heaped mess in back of van.
It don't tangle  has it is reeled onto your hose reel.
What poles do you use?

Extremes and an SLX, I see your point because the loop is done away with and the pole hose can go back on the reel. Having worked for so long with a holster tap I'm not sure I would like the on/off action of a valve and the connector in the handle. I'd need to play with one to be convinced.

😮
Thx Dave

Dave - do you not wind your pole hose onto the reel ??
I have a pole carrier above each reel (drainpipe) the pole is placed ( throw/whatever) in the tube, the hose lays in the holder and drops down above the reel, hose is wound in until no slack.
We rarely disconnect the hose from one day to the next

No, not normally, I keep it connected all day but coil in loops and hang them from a D ring. If I wound too much on the reel the tap valve would open (I don't switch the pump off all day). Then there are the spare poles too with coiled hose ready for action.

Does the water not drip out the jets into the van while moving from job to job leaving it connected to the hose reel

No drips for me either I guess because it's connected the air cant get in the tubes to release the water pressure.

I like the idea of doing it that way as I always disconnect the pole hose but don't use the aqua adapter (mainly because of the added weight).

Mate go tubeless. I have used tubeless with A/D, Aquatap and pinch (fold) the hose.

i also have a tap fitted onto the end of my reel,  handy to turn the waterflow off when disconecting my pole from reel.

my blue pole hose has started to wrap itself around, maybe because i usually put my pole in roof holder,      then circle the hose to hang onto side of plyline on hooks.

could do with some decent chap video taping how to store hose  when placing back into van ready for next job,
i thought looping it and hanging it up was the norm ::)roll
