Where Are Blacks?  Do you know which coat you have as there are a lot of different ones.

i just wear my normal logo d polo shirts and a decent logo d fleece with a goretex jacket over the top if wet and windy or very cold plus beanie hat and gloves, ski pants, boots.

if you need any other clothing your not working hard enough! ;D
price higher/work harder!

I'm still in just me logo'd polo shirt . Once I get going , I just get to hot and get uncomfortable in a jacket , might look at just getting a logo'd body warmer

I have this one. Bought from blacks in the sale for £150.
You have to spend big on coats if you want something proper waterproof. This one keeps you warm but at the same time is very light so nice and easy to work in.
Oh yea, and it looks great, especially on me ;D

Layers are the best way to keep warm.

Just purchasing a bit of new stuff myself, new HH Chelsea boots are amazing.

Apache all season jacket paid about £35.00 for mine embroided logo front and back , nice warm and waterprooof .

Do a quick google and you might fin a supplier near you , £150 for a work jacket that will most likely get ruined with ingrained dirt no ta i took an old North Face jacket for work and after working in the wet it got filthy looked like crap once dried i would have had to wash it every week .

I agree. We have logo written Trespass jackets and soft shells. About £40 each. I have just spent a bit more on a pair of boots but still only £60.  I just don't understand spending that much on good quality gear that will get ruined. Especially as we'll sit in the van if the rain really belts down..

the cheapo jackets dont keep you dry their rubbish.tried loads of them years ago.you sweat like a pig in them and are wet through after a few showers leaving you feeling dejected resulting in you heading off home early when your more likely to crack on with decent waterproofs thus earning more money.they last twice as long as the cheap jackets plus they keep you dry and comfortable.

price higher/work harder!

Off post slightly  but I just bought some work boots from lidl for £15 & some thermal work  trousers for £10

It's their offer of the week.
WE CLEAN BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT WITH WATER FED POLE WHEN WORKING AT HEIGHT.

Not true. Admittedly in really foul weather on the hills a goretex jacket will be worth it as they will take more weather and probably better quality seams, but its a myth that you'll sweat less in goretex and in the weather most of us work in a Trespass jacket would be adequate.

I agree with Daz in that the cheaper end Jackets are not fully waterproof and if you are out in the rain for more than a few minutes will get wet through to the inside layer.
I not only look for a Jacket that is waterproof but also windproof as this makes a difference in comfort.
The more expensive Jackets usually offer protection from rain and wind without being over bulky.

Worn next to your skin (I wear mine over a base layer)
The vid on the buffalo website shows it completely wet

Never had an issue with my Apache work coat built for work , Were as walking jackets are made for just that they just dont have the durability same as hiking boots they wont take the abuse .

But that is simply wrong. My Trespass waterproof jacket if fully waterproof in most conditions. However it doesn't have as good a hood as my Berghaus Goretex jacket and it wouldn't be as good out on a moor or in the hills. For window cleaning it is quite adequate.  In wet weather a jacket is filthy after a day's work and just cleaning it with Nikwax is £10 a time.

When I started I had a Sprayway Goretex that got ruined in the first winter. I have a cheap signwritten jacket for work and a good one for the hills.

I don't wear a heavy coat; I wear layers.  When it's cold, mornings usually, I go out layered up and as it gets warmer I just remove the layers.

T-shirt, polo shirt, sweat shirt, fleece and bodywarmer, and when it gets really cold, a woolly hat and thermal bottoms.

Job Jobbed.
