Funny thing is .... I was thinking about Vision today whilst working with Ecover multipurpose cleaner in my tank.
Now, the thing with this Ecover is that it seems to be cleaning remarkably well - all the benefits Vision claims to have - shiny glass and very clean frames particularly since using an Xline brush too. However, because it hardly bubbles you don't get the impression you are using anything, even at 4ml per 100l of pure.
Then it dawned on me ....... Vision and even GG4 are probably not very good for our requirements particularly Vision. This is because they both produce something that is totally unnecessary for wfp cleaning - they produce bubbles and slip. Bubbles are a pain in the backside and slip is totally useless for a brush trying to scrub particles from the glass, if anything you probably want more bite.
Things like rinse aid and floor cleaners are designed so they produce no foam at all - whether they use an anti-foaming agent or whether their make up is completely different I'm not sure but I'm trying to find out. Why do we need bubbles in our dish soap? Is it there for a purpose?
