vision
« on: October 15, 2015, 06:23:12 am »
generally its been good but on 2 occasions I've found it seems thick like syrup . and has caused  the window to smear (not spot) . i can only assume its not mixed  in the tank consistantly enough , maybe congealed in some way . is there a technique to get it mixed better? is it not a good idea to have it sitting in the tank overnight as it might settle at the bottom? any thoughts

I put it in before i fill up , But i fill my tank via a sub pump so gets well mixed and i dont put it my  in tank everyday and i use less than the recommended dosage as it can hinder rinsing on certain jobs .

It's used as a wfp boost as pure water don't work very well on it's own on filthy glass   ;D

Totally agree, the only downside is the added shine on the glass and frames can be hard on the eyes even with sunglasses,
I'm waiting on a product that does the same as Vision such as making me three times quicker on the clean but with about
half the added shine.
I have high hopes that Dave Willis is on the verge of a discovery and at last we will have a product that will actually work
as well as Vision without burning out my retinas. ;D

Funny thing is .... I was thinking about Vision today whilst working with Ecover multipurpose cleaner in my tank.
Now, the thing with this Ecover is that it seems to be cleaning remarkably well - all the benefits Vision claims to have - shiny glass and very clean frames particularly since using an Xline brush too. However, because it hardly bubbles you don't get the impression you are using anything, even at 4ml per 100l of pure.

Then it dawned on me ....... Vision and even GG4 are probably not very good for our requirements particularly Vision. This is because they both produce something that is totally unnecessary for wfp cleaning - they produce bubbles and slip. Bubbles are a pain in the backside and slip is totally useless for a brush trying to scrub particles from the glass, if anything you probably want more bite.
Things like rinse aid and floor cleaners are designed so they produce no foam at all - whether they use an anti-foaming agent or whether their make up is completely different I'm not sure but I'm trying to find out. Why do we need bubbles in our dish soap? Is it there for a purpose?

Did you test the ppm reading hitting the glass as if it's already added to the tank you can't rinse it down with pure surely?

Still reads zero at 4ml per 100l
GG4 tends to read 001 with half that dose.
Don't know about Vision - never used it.

The best way to use Vision is to put the dose in a 2 liter coke bottle fill with pure shake a few times, it will foam a bit, then add to the tank it will spread better and never smear. You need to get it to emulsify before adding to tank.

I used vision today duncan as it happens. One squirt to 1000ml of pure put into a spray bottle.
Sprayed directly onto the glass, spread about a bit with a porky mop then bladed off with me wagulator.
The wife did not even notice I cleaned the windows. Bless her ;D

If you don't want to use vision all the time in your water tank then you could mix some up in a spray bottle and stick it on your belt then spray it directly onto the wfp brush or scrub pad when required. That way you can rinse down afterwards with pure.

It also works for trad too and you will be blinded by the results ;D
