Then just move the connector as far up the hose as you need, I just said a few  inches but whatever suits.

I used to do just that with a barbed joiner, found that a push fit joiner would snag and pull off when extending the pole. I now use rectus fittings in the same way exceed do.
I won't change your mind and that's ok, but it is an improvement and a lot more durable if that's the way you wish to work.
All that exceed and wcw have done is refine the principle, I don't think its silly.

To be honest Barry I think we are arguing about something we both agree on just using different equipment to achieve the same
result.
To be honest I hadn't  thought of that advantage until you pointed it out, don't know if will sell anymore poles though
but yes it has a use.

i have built my diy hoseless pole set up since christmas and have my inline tap fitted at the top, i tried the gardiner all season yellow and was too soft and stretchy then fitted a length of gardiner orange and its been spot on!

Looks like you do the same as me - two T pieces , fan jets and pencils, alternate between either to what suits the job. ;)
